LOL … Dumbest **** I’ve read. No one kills Sengun for “trying too hard”. Would they like to see him foul less (and stay on the floor)? Sure. (He’S tRyInG sO hArD hE pIcKs Up QuIcK fOuLs!) #RocketsTwitter should stick to trying to get opposing broadcasters fired.
Now do turnovers, rebounds, and fouls, Abel. I love some Sengun, but these rando Twitter accounts spewing one-sided stats are comical. The fact is both of them have issues, and seeing as one of them may get traded, hell, let's let that one look as good as possible until he's traded. Assuming he's traded, of course -- no idea if he will be or not.
When he was playing with harden he was all about doing what it takes to work with harden but then when he left he kinda changed the attitude to where he was the diva
His rebound stats are quite good actually. All stats are per36. ---------- DR -- OR -- D box-out -- O box-out Sengun 6.0 | 3.4 | 3.0 | 0.4 Wood -- 9.8 | 2.2 | 1.1 | 0.3 Wood's contested defensive rebound percentage is less as well. As much as Sengun's turnovers and fouls should improve, notice that offensive fouls are double counted in those stats and assist/to ratio is in the middle of the pack. It is not as bad as advertised. I think he will be okay if he just refrains from doing the 'too ambitious' defensive fouls and gets more respect from refs. I think not being able to defend quick players on the perimeter, and bigs with size inside makes him more of a liability than the foul/turnover issue, which I think is a little bit exaggerated and will improve rather easily.
Per 36 minutes? Sengun fouls out per 36 minutes. Ok, I'm just kidding with you, although that's an actual stat. Sengun is good and will be even better for this team once his fouls dip and his stamina improves (I actually think his stamina has improved a lot from his first few games). Just like Jalen, I'm willing to wait and watch him gradually develop. Right now this team has to clear up some room somehow, but I'm scared to death how bad the team may look if they get rid of Gordon and Wood this season, if that's the plan. Maybe they'll shock me and get something decent in the return, but I want draft compensation the most, I think.
I knew I should have given the stats per 30 minutes . Wood is the opposite of everything I believe a basketball player should possess. Considering that we'll get a player in return and how bad the team is, I don't think it can actually worse than this. Let's look at the bright side with the young core. As long as Wood is gone in the summer the latest I am okay with it.
