I'm sure he means he wants to be one of the leaders. He's always said that. He wants to be the best player on the team. Just excellent confidence from this kid. If he were whiny about his minutes like much of this board, he would be pouting a lot more on the court. He's focused and just works hard. It's a good time for him to ask for more responsibility. His stamina has not been great so sticking to these minutes will have improved his fitness. He's one of those players that coaches ultimately love to play. His 3pt shot is somehow going in even though I'm always worried about his mechanics. I think giving him more minutes and usage will significantly ease the game on KPJ and Green as well. He's good at getting Wood some extra baskets too, which Wood needs to stay motivated on defense. It won't be long till there's no choice but to start him imo. They will look at 20 games of data on the best line ups and Sengun's lineups are all doing great in those 20 games. He's a great fit with our core. The only thing is I believe in the long run a strong team is better off starting Sengun with a more defensive minded player and I'm not sure that's Wood. Doesn't matter a lot for now, but I bet we'll be considering that down the road.
That is what was said last night by his translator then they cut the interview from television immediately.
lol at people claiming his moves are slow...imho thats a sign of supreme confidence and ability...when you do your **** slow you just know nobody can do nothing to stop you or take the ball from you and you just wait for the right moment to get by them
He’s a league average athlete for a big man, nothing wrong with not being an elite athlete. He’s still a very good one. Have to be half way decent to be able to defend smaller players the way he does. Instincts are great, still have to be able to perform what the mind is telling you to do.
I love you, man! But sometimes ( only sometimes) your veteran gif usage get extreme levels. I think you should give second unit gifs more minutes especially rookie ones.
He's the only person with balls. Everyone else is pretending to play basketball. Theiss with 1 rebound as our starting center? OMG
Honestly, if you just keep telling yourself over and over and over again that the Rockets drafted Sengun at #2, it honestly doesn't even seem that bad that they drafted Jalen.
Something about the - insert any number of Jalen Green errors every game - and Hollins just has to lay it down for us dumb dumbs just why what Green did was actually good and smart. Was cringeworthy the very first time he did it, it's cringeworthy that he has to do it multiple times every game.
jalen is a fine player, a diamond, but there are no guarantees in life, with a right coaching, training regimen and playing off of sengun he can win it all and make a lot of money and fame in the process
