Man Draymond had 5 fouls for like 10 minutes on the floor and Sengun softly went at him ONCE. We could have fouled him out easily by just going at him over and over again. We got gifted the opportunity to do that and instead we're taking midrange jumpers. We're exactly the stupid team we would constantly beat in the Harden era. Trading 3's for midrange jumpers. What a dumb f*cking strategy. "They're giving up the midrange" EVERYONE IS GIVING UP THE MIDRANGE YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO DIVE IN. Jesus
Gotta challenge Donkey better on that last play and force the refs into a tough spot. Those floaters at 10 ft don't really work as a go-to shot. Would've rather had him try to draw a double team and kick it out for an open, quick 3.
anti-sengun, anti-jokic... hmmm maybe for the same reasons draymond likes to be an ass to europeans? didn't think our own fans would hate alpi so much... but here we are
at the time when Draymond picked up his 5th foul early in the 3rd quarter and had to get subbed out the game, Sengun had scored 10 points on 5-13 shooting…by the time Green subbed back in with a little under 8 minutes left in the 4th, Sengun was up to 26 points…he then finished the rest of the game going 2-6 from the field
All the Sengun haters in this thread need to stfu. He made mistakes but this game isn't on him by any means, him and FVV kept us in the game. It would have been nice if more shots would have been distributed to others like Jabari, but that's on Ime.
Sengun should really be a #3 on a championship team. This franchise is treating him like a #1 or #2 player and it will never work. He's not Jokic, he'll never be at Jokic' level because he's too small and doesn't have the same shooting ability or passing IQ. Too many times I see him miss Jabari wide open in the corner on a drive when he's smothered on defense. Trying to make Sengun the best player on a team is like Kings trying to make Sabonis the best player, look how that's turning out. They paid him the supermax and now they're completely ****ed. I've always said, Stone has yet to prove this is a successful rebuild because he never drafted a generational superstar, which every championship team has out the minor outlier teams. We may look like the #2 seed now, but we could easily end up like the Grizzlies or Kings in 2 years. Both those teams look like they were up and coming just a couple years ago. Both those teams don't have a generational player. Look at the Wolves, they're spanking the Lakers because Anthony Edwards is a generational player surrounded by a proper #2 and #3 option.
So our 22-year-old struggled against one of the best defenders in the league, someone who has 4 times more NBA experience AND gets away with all sort of BS? Not to mention that punkass b**** entered the game with experience in 160 NBA playoff games to Sengun’s 3. But Sengun should’ve dominated?
Not sure if youre being facetious, but Jabari is the only 21 year old in the rotation. Amen and Sengun are 22 and Jalen is the same age as Ant at 23 (jalen 6 months younger). This is year 4 for jaken and Sengun. I sure hope it doesnt take 7 years for the Rockets to see what these players are.
Eh, Draymond is probably going to go down as a top 10 all time defender so it's hard to get too down on Sengun. He's hard to figure out, he's crafty and dirty and once he gets a tech and 5 fouls he basically gets away with everything. Sengun would have been the reason we won this game. He's a baby, I like that he went out there and tried to put the team on his back. Maybe he'll figure out Draymond, but this season it doesn't look like he will. I think Sengun has to hit his floaters and be more face up against Draymond. Dray being 6'6 actually is an advantage, most don't realize that, it makes him difficult to back down...See Chuck Hayes career and even low post defensive Harden. You're not just going to back draymond into the paint, but he reaches a lot, if you can face up on him and try to catch him reaching you'll probably have a better chance against him.
Our 22-year-old Center just had 31/10/5 in a playoff game on the road, but he couldn't dominate one of the best defenders in the game, and missed a few shots over him so it's time to trade him.
Ime was counting on Adam to get offensive rebound. Adam mis timed his jump by a split second as he was fighting for position with Loony. Jimmy made a perfect jump to secure the rebound.
