    Rice is not as bad a defender as people say he is but he still is not great. He is aging and is oft injured. It would be good to get rid of Cato but getting Rice would be trading one high priced low return investment for another.

    Rice is considered not fit NY style, and now
    is being blamed by Sprewell, Rice is undervalued with NY too. So it might work!?

    Actually this is not a bad Idea
    NY ain't coming off Kurt Thomas OR Spreewell
    In offering those you are saying that the
    original poster is dreamcasting
    but IMO . . . it is a serious consideration
    I don't see NY needing or using Rice

    So why not give them a call.
