    I love this logic!

“Sorry we destroyed your country! Now you owe us 10 billion dollars!

Someone show me figures that we destroyed 20 billion dollars of their infrastructure. I keep hearing that much of this is for degraded infrastructure that Saddam let go to hell because he choose to.

Which story is it? It crapped out because of the sanctions? Because of Saddam? Because we blew the hell out of it? Which is it?? All of the above? And how in the hell do you quantify how much we, the United States, is responsible for.

It's a ****ing nightmare. This is why you line up real, widespread international support in a coalition before you decide to make war on a country that wasn't a clear and present danger. To help spread the hardship, to help spread the burden, to help spread the military power necessary to govern a conquered country. To help spread the costs.

Good lord, the cavalier way some of you here think this is/was going to play out, no matter if the rest of our allies were on board or not, blows my mind.

There are so many reasons not to have fought this war this way that it's not close to being funny. The Bush Administration screwed up royally. And that's starting to sink in to a lot of people.

Some of you can keep your blinders on, but eventually you will stumble into reality. This was an incredibly inept diplomatic disaster. And Bush is responsible.

    Sorry to sidetrack, but ...

Didn't Bush's approval rating just increase a little. They say because some economic indicators have started to rise, albeit slowly.

Now the ironic thing is that some of the Democrat's criticism may very well come back to bite them in the rear in one year: the economy.

The economy cycles, and no President can stop that. They maybe can effect the timing or depth of it, but like death and taxes, it's coming.

Now even though the timing of this recession shows that the economy started to plummet in the final year of Clinton's presidency, Bush has been blamed for the fallout. But indicators are all starting to climb. What if the economy starts surging next year, JIT for the election? So, all of the blaming of Bush for the economy now, may give him credit as it's apparent the economy has turned. I will not be too happy.

    Sorry...continue on.
