I didn't make the statement in your sig, liar.

My question and your inability to respond to it illustrates my point. There is nobody on the scene right now, less than two years from the 2016 presidential election, who stands a chance against Hilary in the general. You're unable to come up with so much as a single name.

I would rather be dumb than a liar. Sad to say it would appear you're both.

Yep. As of today that's a tough call. If things go well over the next two years, then a non polarizing Republican candidate can use that as his/her platform and certainly compete. Otherwise, a Republican candidate will have trouble, assuming voter turnout is comparable to the last two presidential elections.

If she runs against Jeb, the parties will have voted us into an oligarchy.

Carson and Cruz are Tea Party ideologues who would lose in a bigger landslide than did Romney. Walker and Jindal both look better, but neither is moderate enough to draw much support from independents, particularly true with Walker given his union busting tactics, which are popular among the Fox watching rubes, but not among mainstream workers.

Walker has support from independents (that's why he keeps winning in Wisconsin). Ditto for Jindal. Try looking at election results before you speak. Who doesn't have any sway with independents is Hillary. Go see what happened to those she went to bat for this election. She got embarrased.

Carson and Cruz you make no argument other than to spew that you don't like them.

Listing names was a waste of time. Clinton is the leader right now so the reply you got was the only one coming. So much can happen in 2 years.

This is kinda funny, both parties love their families. Michelle Obama will be the next senator from New York!!!

George Washington should have just made himself king

I'll bet you $10,000, to coin a phrase

So, absolutely nothing will pass and pass veto for the next two years, or 6.The rich get richer and more capable of buying whatever influence they don't already have. The lobbyist are happy because they don't have to deliver anything, just stop stuff, that no one would pass anyway.
    Life's pretty good.

Seriously? Walker won in 2010 and 2014. You couldn't pick two better years to run for office as a Republican. If he had to run for re-election in 2012, I guarantee you its far closer and its quite possible that he loses.

Jindal would lose if he ran for re-election today. His approval ratings in Louisiana are awful. The guy tried to scrap the income tax (which would be offset with a rise in sales and property taxes) and got completely burned. Also, he made the typical Republican mistake of supporting vouchers which has zero support in rural areas since rural areas don't have private schools. In those communities, vouchers are seen as stealing money from local schools (which is also why vouchers will never pass in Texas since Rural Republicans wont vote for it). Jindal wouldn't make it past the Louisiana runoff. Some Republican would come in and beat him. The guy can't even break 40% approval rating. I think Obama might be more popular in Louisiana than Jindal is. That's how awful he is.

I dont think Hillary is bullet proof but Jindal is a freaking joke that would get demolished. I think Walker would be very competitive for sure but he's no slam dunk. Chris Christie is still your best bet (bridge scandal and all). The good thing for Republicans is that they elected a lot of blue state governors this year. That's a good pool of talent to choose from if they succeed (and can survive a primary).

    Very unlikely.

First I don't think anyone would "trounce" Hillary because of the general direction of the country, the connections she has, her husband campaigning for her 24/7 and the general history of Presidential politics.

    Ben Carson inspires no one.
Ted Cruz is bright and qualified and an absolute *******... nope.

    Scott Walker? Meh maybe.

Bobby Jindal? Uhh the rose came off that bloom years ago.

I agree, nobody is going to trounce Hillary. That doesn't mean they can't win, but they won't trounce her.

Ben Carson inspires lots of people. A lot of hardcore right wingers are absolutely in love with him.

Ted Cruz, agree. Hope he doesn't run. He has no chance at all in a general election and I don't think he could win the primary either.

Scott Walker is a maybe. I really don't enough about him to rule him out. Winning 3 elections in Wisconsin is pretty impressive.

Bobby Jindal is a maybe. He certainly doesn't have the appeal he did a few years ago, but that's easy to recapture with impressive showings in the early states.

I think the more interesting candidate is John Kasich.
