Not surprising I've been banned from several conservative blogs and websites for expressing an alternative viewpoint. They just don't want to hear any deviation from the fanatical.

That's the problem, the Republican party is radicalizing in a scary way...moderate Republicans are being turned off, shouted down, and kicked out. If this continues, we'll need a new party to be a moderate party. We'll have the radical right tea-party (aka the New Republican Party) We'll have some kind of moderate conservative party made up of former republicans And then we'll have a big fat burgeoning democratic party. Maybe it's time we abandon the two party system and create more of a coalition system...maybe that's the only way to get rid of the poisionous mood in this country. I mean, congressmen being threatened??? Rightists and leftists hating each-other. Bricks through windows? It's just crazy.
Lifelong conservative with serious credentials criticizes modus operandi of current republican politics - gets kicked out. Lifelong pseudo-conservative muckraker sans policy credentials with a penchant for lies, mistruths, and inciting unnecessary confrontation continues to dictate large influence. I think that this sort of dichotomy is very scary for the republicans. Particularly as the democrats have carefully moved extremely centrist - e.g. Obama.
