LOL funny pic. I swear Lebron looks 40 years old in this pic. Seriously, he was the only Cav who came to play this afternoon. I dont think it's fair to say he choked. We have seen how difficult it was for one star player to carry the whole team times before. Yao and Tmac are living proofs.
The Cavs had the series won in Game 6...and just couldn't finish the deal. Either way, it still has to be considered a very excellent season for them, and the progression of Lebron is getting scary. Pistons also look more vulnerable than they have in the past. If the Cavs can come that close to finishing them, there's no reason why the Heat don't stand a good chance in the ECF.
Personally, I agree that he didn't choke, but it's not farfetched to say he choked for the same reason that people call T-Mac a choker. They play great but don't have enough help around them. The superstar gets the glory for the wins, but unfortunately takes responsibility for the losses as well.
Order and logic has been restored in the NBA universe with the Pistons win today, the Cavs Cinderella story is finally over. Lebron had no help today, Z was a total waste of space and Hughes was only slightly better. Great series though and it was a coming of age for LBJ.
I agree with everything you said except for the line in bold. They played poorly against the Cavs b/c of a match-up problem especially the one with Snow/Billups match-up. Snow, despite his lack of shooting is one of the better PG defender in the game has given Billups, the MVP candidate, fits throughout the series and throws him off his game. When Billups struggle, so does the whole team, simliar to the affect of Nash and his team. I think the Piston will have it easier against the Heat b/c Billups had always burn Payton and Jason William in the last couple of years, of course this is assuming they have a game plan to contain the Wade/Shaq combo which could prove leathal if they're unable to do so.
New basketball law! Game 6 is a MUST WIN when an underdog is up 3-2 and playing at home, lets see if the Mavericks can break it today; the Clippers don't count because they were down 2-3.
The only team, that I can recall, that LOST game 6 on their home-court, but won game 7, was Indiana back in 1995. Game 7 gives enough of an advantage to the home team as is... and when you add the momentum of a huge elimination-game road win in game 6... I don't see how any underdog could overcome that to win a game 7.
