If you're gonna beat the United States you better take care of the ball, get in a half court game, hope the US is shooting poorly, hope they're missing freethrows, out rebound them, get back on defense,bring you're lucky rabbits foot, etc, etc.

Australia aren't one of the elite teams. Their big wins against Lithuania (who weren't interested in that game) and Iran made their numbers look better than they actually are. It also didn't help when Bogut's ankle blew up again in the 2nd qtr. Maybe if that didn't happen they would have kept it under 30...

Happy that it didn't get to 40. For a while there my Clutch life was flashing before my eyes. I saw championships, Nick the Brick, Kenny the Jet, a Fat Barkley, an ugly Pippen, a thread about chicks dancing - it was mostly a sweet Dream.
We already have Aaron Brooks. I really like Newley. He might not shot the ball well but even after he get blocked by kobe in the 1st qtr he still drove fearlessly to the hole. I like his game!
I will get into my thoughts on the game in a second. First I want to know something. Patrick Mills vs. Aaron Brooks? Who do you take? Mills will be a very solid back-up point guard. Showed some good composure against the NBA's elite point guards. I loved missing out on the first quater and a half for the softball. Damn Punk. As for what I saw of Australia. We didn't work smart enough on the boards. Forgot to hit bodies. Instead we were amaturish, just jumping for the ball instead of boxing out. We misses easy inside shots and took bad outside shoots. Those are some of the things I mentioned earlier today as things we needed to do well, to even get close of TEAM USA. Finally...Chris Anstey got exposed as a Steve Novak stunt double. I've never like the guy since day one.
No. I think he just twisted his ankle. You know whats funny? When you won Bronze it was all excuses, and I support alot of them. I don't realy feel like it know. All of you guys act as if you were on the floor. Alot of you fans never cared about Olympic basketball or took notice of the rest of the world. Then you got beat 4 years ago and all of a sudden took notice. Just remember it is tough to improve your game when if not in Europe, Aussie Basketballers have to work a fulltime job aswell as play the game to make a living.
