Looks like my posting career is safe . Down 1 at qtr time and unlucky to be down 12 at half time. Newley has looked reasonable thus far, but Australia are doing such a great job as a team of slowing the pace down and making the US take tough, contested shots. We aren't about to just bend over for the US.
Kobe has to quit taking 3s. Maybe the injured hand has thrown off his shot. That was a picture perfect 1st half for the other team and Team USA is still up 12. I doubt the 2nd half is a repeat. Australia just doesn't have enough talent to win a game like this. The U.S. needs to play better in the semis.

Aussies don't play macho. They play tough. There's a difference. Macho is bravado...ie, pretending you wanna get it on, chest thumping and trying to intimidate others by staring down, pursing your lips as if you've just knocked out ALI. Tough is playing hard, and not backing down. It's not the kind of showmanship that other countries do *cough* usa *cough.* Aussies just play hard at any sport, and they don't back down if someone throws some "macho" junk at them.
