Selling Junk Car

    You most likely get $500 maybe more if you sell it, but you have to worry about the other person taking care of all the paper work on their end. I would call a salvage yard and ask for a price. You might want to call a scrap iron place and see they would give you per pound. Just be sure you have the title. Salvage or scrap will not take it with out the title.

    Maybe Aircheck Texas? That's the cash-for-clunkers program that was taking old polluting cars out of circulation. I used it once to get $2k for my beat-up old 1994 Honda Civic, but that was quite a while ago now.

    It is mainly looking like it is just Vouchers for new cars
    I am looking for just selling the vehicle. I will be calling the junk yards tomorrow

    Yeah, unfortunately if it's still offered it's just vouchers iirc... Let us know how you do .. I have one I think I'm going to do the same on. Too many other car projects to work on.

    what did you end up doing? I have one about the same shape as your son's car. I really don't want to spend $2000+ to fix up a $500 car.

    It would be a great fixer upper if it's just the tranny.
