whatever route you choose, can you let me know? I'm trying to sell my SKS assault rifle, and my AR15. I'm not going to sell it to someone on the internet I don't know. I've also been told broker/dealers won't give you nearly half of it's true value.

I'll sell them for you on consignment for 10% of final sale price. When I receive them, it will get written up in my transaction log, so all legal responsibility will transfer to me, and I can give you a reciept for transfer of ownership and a file copy of my license.

Private transfers are legal if done face to face in person. You don't need any paper work. It is a good idea to get the persons name and DL# though. If they refuse then refuse to sell them the gun. This is so if the gun is found somewhere you have the guys whole life to give to the authorities.

You cannot legally mail them to another person unless you go through a dealer and involve paperwork.

If you go to a gun show and sell them you can get a better price.

If you take it to a dealer like collectors you will miss out on a ton of cash (50% or so) but it would be done.

Please email me on the 3 rifles and the 22 handgun.

    Jeff,

If you decide to sell some of the handguns, I'd be interested in the PPK and some of the ammo.

You can take it to a place (Top Gun, etc.) and they'll transfer owners for you for a fee, ~$35.

completely a waste of 35 bucks if you do a FTF sale.

I'd say just get their DL#

    Casey,

I'm not as versed or seasoned when it comes to the details of firearms transacations.

I've only sold (2) to my friends, so I guess for me, $35 was worth the ability to fingerpoint to the FFL in case something weird comes up.

yeah I mean you can spend the extra cash if you want but with a DL# and a name you have them dead to rights. If you feel really scared a bill of sale is even more.

I just hate paying away hard earned cash and giving into the scare tactics.

OooOooo! I want to buy one. Do you have one with a silencer?!?!? I've always wanted to say this:

    OR

"Ooh, guns, guns, guns! Come on, Sal! The [Astros] are playing... tonight!"

Seriously, though. I can buy one from you and the law is OK with that? :(

Just don't think you can drive them down to Mexico and fetch a better price there. Learned that lesson the hard way.
