This thread does not give me hope for the future. Read philosophy, science, history, and literature. Everything is there. The stuff mentioned here is mere sophomoric pablum (Gladwell), ego p*rn or, like Jordan Peterson, much worse.

Anything that helps you relax and work on trying meditation. Jazz music. Reading. Reading with jazz music in a quiet room :) if it rains that’s perfection.
Someone else said New Testament and I liked it and then unliked it so I could like it again

I don’t have a book or a video, but I find when I’m really stressed I’m served when I lean into volunteering. I was insanely stressed this weekend and under a really tight deadline…and I left my office Saturday to go help my son coach a basketball team through a nonprofit we are connected with. Best therapy I know…and best advice I can give…is when you’re stressed about your own ****, go lean into serving other people. There’s so many ways to do that. Those moments coaching those kids were like medicine to me. Lean into serving and you’ll find it takes the focus off of yourself and your worries. Just my two cents

Pretty harsh. You're viewing the world and people through your own lens and life context. Some people, personality types, upbringings, etc, benefit from having bullet points laid out and framed for them.

There are nuggets of wisdom even in the most fluffed pieces listed here.
