This thread does not give me hope for the future. Read philosophy, science, history, and literature. Everything is there. The stuff mentioned here is mere sophomoric pablum (Gladwell), ego p*rn or, like Jordan Peterson, much worse.
Ted Lasso “I can’t accept not trying” - Michael Jordan Rocky Balboa Anything that helps you relax and work on trying meditation. Jazz music. Reading. Reading with jazz music in a quiet room if it rains that’s perfection. Someone else said New Testament and I liked it and then unliked it so I could like it again YouTube videos of Buster Douglas beating Mike Tyson I don’t have a book or a video, but I find when I’m really stressed I’m served when I lean into volunteering. I was insanely stressed this weekend and under a really tight deadline…and I left my office Saturday to go help my son coach a basketball team through a nonprofit we are connected with. Best therapy I know…and best advice I can give…is when you’re stressed about your own ****, go lean into serving other people. There’s so many ways to do that. Those moments coaching those kids were like medicine to me. Lean into serving and you’ll find it takes the focus off of yourself and your worries. Just my two cents
