Seems like the Rockets traded away all their heart when they traded Tmac.

    I think we're still trying to find an identity.

    Sure, we were rolling along pretty well during the earlier part of the season, but since we traded away T-Mac and Landry, we've been up and down.

    Adding insult to injury ARE the injuries to Lowry, Ariza, and Battier (for tonight, at least). Lowry led the bench, while Ariza really supplanted the 5th man to the starting lineup, providing athleticism and defense.

    When everyone is healthy, this team should go back to its winning ways again.

    The Rockets lost T-Mac for the year last year and went 22-7 over their next 29 games and broke the first round playoff curse -- again, all without T-Mac. Here are the Rockets players from that team missing from tonight's lineup: Yao Ming, Ron Artest, Carl Landry, Shane Battier, Kyle Lowry, Von Wafer (and not on that team, but also currently missing Trevor Ariza).

    And losing T-Mac traded away this team's heart? It's embarrassing that anyone gives T-Mac that much credit.

    I think Tracy's "lack," of heart is overplayed, but this is a dumb thread. We learned to play without him, as clearly evidenced by us advancing without him last season. He was done with us last season, the team has clearly moved on. If we're missing anything, we're missing what Landry brought to this team with his toughness, heart, and post scoring.

    I dont understand why everyone has been praising this team's heart and max effort every night as a nice deviation from past teams. I dont see it. If there ever was a time to give a team the soft label, its now.

    This team has no idea how to win consistantly. They play the game like its college teams were going up against. There is no player in a rockets uniform right now that I trust to make the crucial play. It seems like were treating each offensive possesion as if adelmans system is going to bail us out and create a layup or a three pointer. Without Landrys prescense in the paint, weve become exclusively a shooting slashing team that relies on the other team to play poor defense.

    Defensively, I dont even know what to say. We just cant match up with NBA talent. We just cant and its sad because i used to be inspired by the championship level at which we used to play defense every night, but now were just getting scored on at will.

    I know this is part of a bigger picture, but Ive never been a fan of depending on next year. I like to watch us compete for atleast a chance to make a respectable run in the playoffs. This season has been a disapointment, and my expectations werent high either at the start of the year. I just didnt expect us to take this big of a step back.

    What this team lost or no longer plays up to is its defensive heart. I'm watching some of the most horrible defense I've seen in a while in some of these games.
