Should we have armed and supported the Kurds who fought ISIS for us on the ground?

The US was never really there as an insurgency. The people there are mostly in an advisory role and we’ve only lost a handful of soldiers.

So Trumps pull out is more about abandoning our support of Kurdish forces than it is about whether we should be there technically as boots on the ground or not.

Yemen is the bigger issue I have at the moment with not just our involvement as support for the Saudi forces, but what is the actual role of our troops as boots on the ground. It’s pretty clear in Syria and most should be okay with our support of the Kurds. In Syria it’s a complete mystery and we have to see children starve to death as a result of whatever we are doing.

... plus, the thin-skinned brat-in-chief had Mattis' resignation letter and explained to him...

I still remember watching with concern as Drumpf surrounded himself with men of military-industrial-oil complex who would go to war at drop of the hat, and now they turn out to be the sane ones? LOL. We’re all so ****ed.

At this point what does Donald Trump give the GOP, policy wise, that Mike Pence would not?

A cult following but that isn't policy so I honestly don't know.

Still removing Trump, a GOP president, early from office would be disastrous for the party and any near future elections.

GOP is ****ed and doesn't care about elections or democracy.

This is why they try to rig them. See north Carolina , Wisconsin, Michigan.

They should just install Pence so they can have a slightly less stupid and insane dictator.

So jan1? There goes the orderly transition.

If Mattis was concern enough to do the below... of course, that’s all false security. No one can legally block POTUS from going nukey.

    Pence is religiously insane
    controlable

I think the GOP is losing control of Trump
Trump is outright attacking some of them

If they cannot control him . . . . . they might have to impeach him themselves
    to save face

And no telling what he will do . .. on his way out . . . .

I would hate to hear 20 yrs from now about how he almost launched nukes at mexico and china

What are the odds that the 12 year old in charge still has not read Mattis’s resignation letter?

It's pretty pathetic that Trump probably only knows the general contents of the letter from watching Fox News rather than reading it himself.

I’m not sure what people want Trump or future President’s to do in that area of the Middle East. We either need to completely get out or we need to set up permanent bases and install by force a government that does our bidding.
