My bad, if you got confused. You ask if ABC or Nightline was biased. I should have replied in the case of Sunday morning talking head shows ABC may very well be.

I don't watch Nightline, so I do know if they have a bias, especially in the post Ted Koppel era.

But there can be little doubt of the strong conservative bias of CNSNews.com, the "news" agency that broke "the story".

I listened to the secret Saddam tapes, but when the Iraqi Minister of Information began singing New Kids on the Block songs, I changed the channel.

Nothing--we went into Iraq as liberators right? To spread peace and democracy, WMD's were not the main reason according to the Flippity-Flip-Flop Right Wing....RIGHT Texxx?

Man, you missed the best part. He and Dr. Germ did a stunning rendition of "Islands in the Stream" right after that.

Yeah, and there was a former Iraqi arms researcher who told the Defense Department the exact locations of the WMDs that were never found in Iraq.

The difference is, we know with 100% certainty that Saddam could not have been a threat to the US for at least a decade.

well, this certainly has the liberals worried, judging by this thread's responses.

oh, so do you now finally admit that you're a liberal, now? Or are you still clinging to some crazy lunacy about being independent?

I would think you would be worried after you were embarrassed into posting this yesterday:

Sam, with you being a lawyer I would expect you to be above falsifying quotes. This bbs content is discoverable, you know.

I see you're still stinging from the embarrassment from yesterday. It shows.

Can you document anyone’s response in this thread that would constitute your observation?

Sure - Moon quickly tried to brush it aside as nothing, SamFisher tried to change the topic by attempting to throw in humor, gifford immediately launches a counterattack by accusing the Bush administration of a cover up job, etc. Pretty obvious. They're clearly concerned. With possible concrete justification for the war, they're have to find something new to b!tch about.

    Dude,

the point of that post was that it is ridiculous to think that the Bush Administration would be hiding evidence of WMD in Iraq. Not that they were actually engaging in a cover up. Next time I'll type slower and use smaller words.

You can lie about me all you want. I am a fiscal conservative with a sense of social justice. Both of those philosophies are diametrically opposed with the Bush cabal.

w/held isn't exactly right. the tapes hadn't been translated. there are reams of documents, recordings, etc, that have never been translated, due to a lack of funding. i'm curious about the, apparent, lack of interest in going through this material. there's so much we don't know about saddam, what happened to his weapons programs, the weapons themselves. only the sun and weekly standard have shown any interest in ferreting out the truth. the sun ran a particularly interesting report last week from a former amry intel office (wonder if it's the same on referenced above?), who discovered a network purposely flooded concrete bunkers in southern iraq, but couldn't get the ISG to come take a look. the bunkers were buried in swamps that had been drained, then reflooded after the bunkers were sealed. the walls were up to 5 feet thick, and getting inside would've required a lot of heavy equipment. the intel officer had multiple reports, from locals and former iraqi army officers, that the bunkers contained WMD. odd that no one would open them up.

i have no opinion on the report above. it wouldn't surprise me either way. i have long maintained they're out there, burind in the desert, either in iraq or syria. some day they're going to come back and bite us all in the ass.

Great Jumping George Romero! YOU think Neo-Natal babies are buried in the desert in Iraq and Syria? And they're going to rise from the dead and bite us all in the ass! (owing to their small stature, this is a logical place for them to bite - after disabling us, the traditional undead brain consumption will begin)

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! WE'RE DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though - the official conclusion MANY TIMES OVER now by the official, GWB appointed investigators, is that Saddam had no WMD program of consequence. Even IF the alleged tape actually exists and all the statments are verified - it does not invalidate this conclusion. Intent =/ capability.

The myth of the active WMD program is now alongside crop circles and chupacabras. You can continue to believe if you want though.
