Catching GS isn't a real possibility. If the Rockets won all of their 15 remaining games, GS would only need to go 8-8 to finish ahead of Houston.

Memphis just has brutal schedule coming up, they'll play 5 games in 7 days, 7 games in 10 days total. Portland, Dallas, Cavs, SAS, Thunder, Wizards, GSW in that span (in no particular order).... Yep we'll finish 2nd

Are we talking about the 9th seed OKC who has been mediocre since ASW despite Westbrooks me-centric inefficient stats? The same OKC who still has Durant out and just got news that Ibaka now is out 6 weeks? That's the OKC you think is making the playoffs? And even if OKC was 8th seed, have a little faith in our team, maybe, you know? Like as if you were a fan? Just a minor suggestion. I was at the OKC game this year when we destroyed them and that was when they were at their best (i.e. cancer Westbrick injured, Durant & Ibaka playing)
Even if this scenario was possible, considering how soundly the Pels have beaten us, I do not want to play them in the first round.
I think it is quite possible that Curry and the GSW will look pretty amateurish versus the remaining schedule without Klay. Harden needs to start having big games and he can flip the national view of the MVP race. Curry hasn't been playing well either lately, but neither has Harden. Time to step up.

It's ish like this that makes you go full r****d in the game threads. Your expectations are not close to realistic. Rockets will not blow out every team from tip off to whistle.
I would almost rather end up third with Portland second. That way we can play Dallas at 6th and take away home court from Portland. Rockets are in decent position after getting through that rough schedule.
I appreciate the optimism for a change but seriously 10 of the 15 games the Rockets play are against teams in the playoff chase.
OKC will be lucky to just get to the dance. Westbrook is a stat padder, he is not carrying his team to wins like Harden. If you are afraid of wolves, don't go into the forrest. Wolves should be afraid of us.
If it goes down like this, then I think Clips take GSW in 7 games series. It will be Clips and Rox in conference championships. Like our chances. Agree with Hawks getting to Finals over the Cavs.
