maybe the fact that no one will expect us to win will take some of the pressure off and we can pull an upset....

I'll top that and say that we get the #1 seed and win the whole damn thing. Yao will play in some series that we need him. Book it!!!!!

NBA Finals: Rockets over Pistons 4-2.

I think without Yao our team can still make it pretty far!! I know it may seem doubtful but our team is playing a little different than last year. With Rick Adleman's offense, it's really flexible to score. I really like the addition of Bobby Jackson. I don't think T-mac alone can improve this team. His scoring percentage and free throws is down but we have the offense of Luis scola, bench of Jackson, put back of landry to make up for that. Yao ming greatly will be missed from our team but the Rockets can adjust!!! I think old man dekembe can hold it off the defensive side of the floor or with quicker centers we could use Hayes!!! I still believe in the Rockets. Their new scoring abilities. They will make the play-offs for sure. Destiny rely's more on team play now and not any one or two individuals

I also think we will make the second round. But my hopes were all the way to the NBA finals. The most important thing about making it to the second round is to at least get rid of the TMac 2nd Round Curse. Then we win it all next year!

what a waste of a thread.... why do you even bother posting?

You can't guarantee anything for the rockets, you don't even play on the team.

Yeah! I agree with you. Nothing is impossible, even more, kemp is possible.

btw, as a mature man, if Rocket could not make the playoff, I will accept it too.

Dude....your sad. I'm just trying to be positive about this whole thing....If it cost me a $100 bucks...then so be it. I can think of a ton of other stuff I would blow $100 bucks on...but I'd rather do it on something thats worth it. Plus...I'm not gonna lose.

I just dont' see how our offense keeps up with Deke in the starting lineup and Hayes as a contributor now...

Unless Hayes learned how to make a layup while he was on the bench, the chances aren't good for our 1st round.

Couldn't resist pulling out the Tommy Boy stock on this one...

Tommy: Let's think about this for a sec, Ted, why do they put a guarantee on a box? Hmm, very interesting.
    Ted: I'm listening.
Tommy: Here's how I see it. A guy puts a guarantee on the box 'cause he wants you to fell all warm and toasty inside.
Ted: Yeah, makes a man feel good.
Tommy: 'Course it does. Ya think if you leave that box under your pillow at night, the Guarantee Fairy might come by and leave a quarter.
    Ted: What's your point?
Tommy: The point is, how do you know the Guarantee Fairy isn't a crazy glue sniffer? "Building model airplanes" says the little fairy, but we're not buying it. Next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser and your daughter's knocked up, I seen it a hundred times.
Ted: But why do they put a guarantee on the box then?
Tommy: Because they know all they solda ya was a guaranteed piece of ****. That's all it is. Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for right now, for your sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality item from me.
Ted: Hmm. Okay, I'll buy from you.
    Tommy: Well I... What?

    CLASSIC!!!

That and the Brian Denehey scene when he makes the sale "I'll take the butcher's word for it" are the BEST scenes in the movie.

I too guarentee a first round win! It's good to have some positive energy around here, especially if we play the hornets.

I want the Jazz though. I'm pretty sure even without yao, we can beat them. We have a TEAM now. :D
