I guess I am kind of against drafting a player out of high school. I don't think we have the patience to wait on someone out of high school to develop. 4 or 5 years ago I would have been for it, but I would like to see us bring in roleplayers that can help us now.

After reading about how difficult it was for Tracy his first year in the league and seeing the problems that Eddie Griffin went through, I feel like it puts way to much pressure on these young players.

    Hey, they found Yao.

While Rox scouts haven't done great, you can probably say that about over half the teams. Fact is, most draft picks don't pan out and are "wasted".

EVERY team passed up on Rashard Lewis.

Can teams "farm out" prospects/draft picks. The good thing about drafting a Euro is that they can get pt overseas and develop. Does such a system exist in the US?

Didn't the Trailblazers drafted some huge korean guy and owned his rights while he played in some minior league?

Damn that Eddie Griffin though! imageine RJ, SF, Cat, Cato, and Yao.
