I'll predict a 12-4 record and a first round bye. Texans lose to the Broncos in a thriller of an AFC Championship game...Peyton Manning will perform expert surgery on Houston's defense and that'll just be too much to overcome. Assuming key players stay healthy, this season will come down to one guy: Matt Schaub.
then son of bum needs to adjust. i couldn't stand that he kept blitzing Brady when it's obvious that it doesn't work.
AFC: Broncos Texans Bengals Patriots Colts Ravens Wild Card: Bengals over the Ravens and Colts over the Patriots Divisonal Round: Broncos over the Colts and Texans over the Bengals Conference Championship: Broncos over the Texans NFC: Falcons Seahwaks Packers Giants 49ers Saints Wild Card: Saints over the Packers and Giants over the 49ers Divisonal Round: Falcons over the Saints and Seahawks over the Giants Conference Championship: Falcons over the Seahawks Super Bowl XXXXVIII: Broncos over the Falcons Regular season and Super Bowl MVP: Peyton Manning Eagles, Jets, Jaguars, Raiders and Chargers will be drafting in the top 5 at next years draft.
stupid patriots ruined my prediction of the texans losing to the ravens in the afc championship. this year, 11-5 we play better as the season ends and we go to the superbowl. JJwatt 16 sacks/1 int/23 defended passes/30 tackles for loss Schaub 4,500 yards/28 tds/ 12 ints/ rating 95.4 Andre 1,501 yards/ 2 tds/ 100+receptions. Foster 1,400 yards/ 20 tds/ 4.4 ypc/59 receptions/ 580 yds/ 4 tds O.D 800 yards/8tds deandre 700 yards/7 tds 5th best offense 8th best defense. probowlers dre, schaub, owens, brown, myers, cushing, foster, watt, joseph, ninja, kareem, manning team mvp / cushing DPOY/ Watt as you can see, the running backs are incorporated in the passing game once again.
I don't understand the negativity on this thread...? did you guys forget that we signed Ed reed which is great improvement for our secondary, plus healthy Cushing, and hopefully we don't collapse like the end of last year, the sky is the limit for this team.
We will go 15-1. sorry, I wanted to go 16-0, but i figures we'll blow one early, like against some team we should beat. that's just what my heart says when i look at the schedule. i am always so optimistic about the texans but i think that is the best way to root for a team. expect greatness. that's how i feel about the rockets too. if you think about last years team and their 4 losses, only 2 of them were games where we really got BEAT (NE and GB). I mean, the other two against the colts and vikings were totally crazy with the "beat cancer" momentum and the "stop Peterson from getting the record" way we played on defense. I really felt like our team was the better team. If our players back up their talk about winning the Superbowl, then I think they will stand toe to toe with all of their opponents this year and go 1-0 every week--except one. 15-1.
Ill say 11-5 ... still able to beat the Colts to be division champs no prediction on superbowl until at least halfway thru the season.
schaub and kubiak will cost us 4 games, i hope they're in the regular season...that is my prediction.
I say 12 wins isn't out of the question. If we can avoid Denver then there is no reason why this team cant win it all this year. Denver's offense right now is just too powerful, even for our defense. We just are not a good team against good scrambling QB's who can throw the ball out. So in short, 11-12 wins. Avoid Denver = Superbowl.
I'd like to be more optimistic and say we'll repeat the 12-4 experience of last year, but we got that record by the skin of our teeth, eking out close games with Detroit and such, and our last two late-season collapses make me doubt the mental toughness of this team. Players: "Well, we're 11-1. We can relax. Minnesota? Let's not even show up." Coaches: "Well, the players are grown men. If they can't motivate themselves, I'm not here to do it for them." Granted, we had some major injuries last year to the defense. But still: 1-3 in our last 4? Stoopiak saying to the media after we laid an egg at Minnesota, "Well, thankfully we still can win at Indianapolis duuuuhhh...." With Stoopiak as coach and Schaub as quarterback, we're a very very predictable, very cautious team. Other teams' coaching staffs know what we're gonna do before we do. I'm hoping for 12-4. Aiming for 11-5. Afraid of 10-6. Please please Texans: Get'er done. Please, Schaub: Be better. Looking forward to it all no matter what.
