We come out firing right away. 65-17, and we average between 105-110 ppg. Seriously. When we had all of our pieces last year, we were blowing out teams and lighting up the scoreboard. Now with Skip, who by all accounts pushes the ball every single time, and Swift running the floor with Tracy, it's about time that we bankrupt the "Break Check". Opp ppg will be in the 90's, but opp fg% will be top three as always. You heard it here first.
Most of the teams than won the championship the last 10 years didn't win 60+. It's all about how your chemistry, health and level of play is at the end of the season, heading towards the playoffs. Phoenix, Dallas, Sacramento come to mind as teams that are built for the regular season, with their finesse play and they all won a ton of games during the regular season, but didn't do crap during the playoffs. After all, the championship is not won playing New Orleans, Atlanta and Charlotte. We should and will be built for the postseason. We should use the season as a benchmark to reach optimal chemistry and come together as a team and position ourselves in the top 4 for a nice postseason run. If we are healthy by that time, we are as good as any other team.
63 - 19 - loose 2 games against New Orleans - loose 1 game against Atlanta - loose 1 game against Charlotte - split the Spurs games - win 3 games against the Mavs - sweep the Suns
i think it's possible for the Rockets to reach 60 wins this season. It's an awesome mix of player, and I think Stromile Swift is really gonna blossom with Houston this season. So my prediction is something like 62-20. Can't wait for their season to begin!
If we stay healthy then we should win 60+ games. However, we tend to play to the level of the other team. That means we'll lose some games to medicore clubs. 57-25
1st seed in the regular season, culminating in the Rockets as NBA Champions. Anything else would be uncivilized. I think we have a more talented and balanced roster than San Antonio now. PG Parker/Udrih/Van Exel < Rafer/DA/Bobby SG Manu/Finley/Barry > Wesley/Barry/DA SF Bowen/Finley/Barry <<< McGrady/DA/Bowen PF Duncan/Horry >> Swift/Howard/Baxter C Nesterovic/Mohammed <<< Yao/Mutombo More importantly, our talent seems to fit our team. I like our chances to go over the 60 win plateau and then go Fo fo fo fo in the playoffs!
