I think it may have been a look-alike, or an imposter with a Blackberry.

Or maybe it was his brother Larry, or his other brother Daryl.

Is that why they are available every game directly from the rockets?

Pull up any game and you can get good club seats directly from the Rockets.

You mean they USED to be sold to big companies....

Wow, insulting me like that when you are here preaching that DM is an idiot for cursing at games, calling people tools for doing the same. Well, you're not really doing much better bud. First off, Ive never once cursed at a game...I may have said "****", but I dont even know if Ive gone that far. However, its a FREAKING SPORTS GAME!!! If you go into it thinking that nobody is going to say anything bad near your virgin ears 5 year old, then the jokes on you.

Im not saying its okay to curse at games...but Im saying I understand it and realize that its part of the deal. Take the pipe out of your ass.

What. I curse like a druken sailor too, problem with this is that I don't expose my children to it. Even worse is that I would never be that guy who exposes someone elses children to it, much less at my work place. DM isn't above reproach, he is a representative of the Rockets organization. It is highly unprofessional for him to not think about the ramifications of who is around him. Like I said, If I was at my work should I be able to curse up a storm and kick stuff in front of your children?

Look, this does not really deserve a thread

1-- I'm glad my GM is emotional at games. Expecting the man to be an angel all the time is ridiculous and unfair given his investment in the team (it's his life dude). Not only that, it shows he cares about his team, which is obvious given the amount of time and work he puts into creating our roster.

2-- At least he brought his wife and kids to game. He could have left them at home while he works, which would suck even more because he would see his children even less due to his working hours. If I were Morey's kid, I would have the coolest Dad in the world and be totally happy to attend games no matter what.

3-- It's his family man. We have no right to criticize his family life. It is none of our business, and the fact that your comments are strictly hearsay means this thread is dumb.

Oh and as far as the Fans go that curse and pitch tantrems, those people are not on the Rockets payroll. You can only hope that if you go with your children that you don't have to deal with this much. I have taken my kids to NFL games and never had an issue of this sort. Sure someone might throw the occasional 4 letter word out, but its normally limited. Obviously if this is true about Morey, then it doesn't seem like an isolated occasion. More like a common reaccurance. Id be upset too if my children were exposed to that from an employee of a company.

Okay, all i said is that Im fine with having a GM that gets pissed when the team loses. Its not like I said, "Morey should scream curse words in the faces of all 5 year olds!". Ive never mentioned anything regarding that. And if Morey knowingly sits next to children and curses, then he should tone it back. But you come in here calling me a tool and a r****d when I havent even said anything.

agree except cussing in front of children is not good behavior. It means his child will adopt that most likely. Also kicking isn't a desirable trait to express disappointment. It's immature and looks unprofessional. In the business world that's a death sentence. I doubt this was Morey for that very reason. Also pics? Seriously this thread lacks PROOF. Lock up this garbage.

If it truly were a problem, wouldn't you think Mrs. Morey would stop watching the game with him and either move or make him sit elsewhere? He pretty much can sit wherever he wants.

If he does get too riled up, he gets up and goes to the Rockets tunnel...

But really, the only person who can tell Daryl whether or not his outbursts is too much, is his wife.

And I don't think anyone on this bbs is her.

I'm surprised that with the number of cameras, tape recorders and picture phones in the arena, noone thought it was worth recording one outburst . I mean if Marc Cuban steps on someones toes on the way to his seat it gets on sportscenter. Coach, Owner and GM reactions are commonly recorded so seems like if it is that drastic or common it would be caught on tape.

    But anyways...

    COOL STORY BRO

Get over it, douche! It's a freaking basketball game...we as fans get emotional, so you have to figure Morey does even more so because it's his job/life!

Preface-- none of this an attack on you or your opinions. This thread has sadly divulged into name-calling and ad hominem

    On cursing and his kids
-- You have no idea whether his children will adopt this at all. He is an incredibly smart and successful man, the odds are overwhelming that the little Morey's will be wise enough to understand flippant cursing isn't kosher.

On business -- this is sports business. It happens in public all the time at games. Business execs have gusto and its common in the non-sports world as well. Les isn't going to fire Morey because he curses in front of his kids man. Silly..

It's funny since DM seems to have the driest personality... The thread is also funny since the OP is not at all what I was expecting based on the title. I thought it was going to be about some fans pissed about the Rockets not letting McGrady play and us losing like crazy now.

I don't like anybody cursing in front of kids either, but I absolutely no control of other people's behavior. It's their rights, it's their choice, and it's their life. If you don't want you kids to hear any foul language, I would advice you to leave them home. Bring your kids to the Disney on Ice show or something. Sports fans are really emotional. We all hate losing. It's our team, and we always expect them to play fair and square.

You must not be trying very hard because I just checked and you can buy club seats for every single game left on the schedule including Lakers...

No need to provide a link....
