Anyone interested in Kip Wells? K. Wells 32 SP 5 7 4 4 5 D * K. Wells 32 SP Good Average Average Average CK
i have ryan klesko and ryan franklin available klesko is playing well still with an ops over .900 and franklin has not but its my park i think-he still has good, avg, avg, good ratings and one more yr besides this at 2 mil' i can package players if necessary too
franchise, Still interested in trading for Pujols? I'd need Shiffer in the deal, but I know the salaries are too different for you to do straight up, so here's another proposal. It looks like you need young pitching, so here goes: Pujols, Cy Lopez, Ted Gonzalez for Shiffer, Esteban Louiza, Pete Fraley Louiza is doing almost nothing for you anymore due to age, so I'll take him so that you can afford Pujols. Lopez and Gonzalez are younger pitching prospects that you could use in a couple of years, whereas Fraley seems destined to not make your lineup, since you already have Jones and Martinez as CFs.
I'm putting Brad Penny on the market. He's only 30 and has 6 complete games under his belt. Here's his full stats: PITCHING RATINGS : Duration as Starter : A Duration as Reliever : * Holding Runners : C Groundball Pct. : 55 Avoiding Runs : 6 Avoiding Hits : 6 (VS. RHB : 6, VS. LHB : 6, Talent Average) Avoiding Doubles : 6 (VS. RHB : 6, VS. LHB : 6, Talent Average) Avoiding Homeruns : 7 (VS. RHB : 4, VS. LHB : 9, Talent Good) Avoiding BB's : 6 (VS. RHB : 6, VS. LHB : 6, Talent Average) Getting Strikeouts : 6 (VS. RHB : 6, VS. LHB : 5, Talent Average) He would be a great addition to you playoff-bound juggernauts that need another veteran starter. I'm looking for a good power hitter...no prospects. If it is an older guy, I would prefer that he not have a long-term contract. I can also include Billy Musselwhite, who is young and cheap - has good homer ratings and has been one of my top RBI men the last 2 seasons. I could also include cash although I don't want to go past 5 million. Not interested in trading any of my other pitchers nor any prospects. I am close to winning my division even after trading Penny; I just need another bat. Let me know if you are interested in Penny.
Well, if I deal Pujols, I don't really need to deal Erstad, but if I trade him I'd want a young, cheap OF with pretty good talent. Hull fits the bill, and Stratton might. I could also take Klesko's contract off your hands, but only if you found a way to involve a very good young player like Place in the deal. (such as Erstad, ____ for Place, Klesko) I know you're a big fan of Rudy's, just giving you an alternative if you wanted to unload Klesko's contract...
Manny, Interested in Jim Loos? 29 years old, avg-brill-avg. Only 100k as of now. The only problem trading for Penny is that Penny costs 3.5 mil, and I'm already over budget. If we can find a way to get costs equaled out, I'll trade. I see two main options: you taking Chien-Ming Wang (5 mil) for a solid prospect or very cheap pitcher, or exchanging 2B/SS Joe Thurston for 2B Damian Rolls. Thurston has better defense at both 2B and SS, draws walks better, and has a higher rating on hits. His contract, however, is four million per season higher. This would equal out the salary. BTW, on Loos, I've played him at RF/LF in addition to 2B and SS over the years, and he's done fine as far as fielding.
Anyone needing MRs I would be willing to let one of my studs go for a good prospect or a young decent one. I would prefer a SP as I have a shortcoming of these in my prospects now. If the prospect has only average in hits he better be damn young. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ NAME : Steve Karsay BIRTHDAY : 3/24/1972 AGE : 37 POSITION : Pitcher ROLE : Middle Reliever BATS : Right THROWS : Right CONTRACT : $3.000.000 through 2010 PITCHING RATINGS : Duration as Starter : * Duration as Reliever : B Holding Runners : B Groundball Pct. : 57 Avoiding Runs : 7 Avoiding Hits : 7 (VS. All-Star Relief Pitcher Josh Fogg is available. Yeah, there are some other players being discussed that are OK, but none that match the level of performance that All-Star Relief Pitcher Josh Fogg has attained.
cat i would consider a klesko, hull, like chandler for erstad,a little cash, and a decent prospect deal
this goes without saying but klesko is still available and playing well and i could move scott heard maybe and ryan franklin
Quality catcher prospects available. Alex McCown and Jimmy Pelfry. Jose Pope, Farmer Matthew, Vince Bates are still available. Looking for a defensive stud CF, and couple of stud bullpen guys.
Fogg isn't the only all star available. I repeat what I said in the chat yesterday. My all star pitcher Ryan is available for a decent deal.
Heath: I wasn't in chat when you mentioned that. I like Ryan. What are you looking for in return for him? On a seperate (or maybe related) note, I have two quality second basemen in Luis Castillo and Moose Seto. Either could be available, if you're still in the market.
Anyone interested in Ozzie Rivera? I kind of want to deal him for a C prospect that's above average in hitting...
Oh - I never knew that i was being confusing - I was just repeating that Ryan was available - he was already listed in this thread.
Lol, I should have guessed that. Thanks Pued. I recind my interest in Ryan. I have plenty of interest in Ryan the uber-starter, but absolutely none in Ryan the overpaid, adequate middle reliever. There is absolutely no chance that I will ever pay a middle reliever 4 million dollars, much less a middle-aged righty with a 4+ ERA.
