I guess I'll sign up if there's a team available.

Just give me the best team left cuz I don't know who's on the rosters. I like young players though. And I'll take Penny since Zo and Hill are picked up.

I think we should let these new GMs take over the NJ NETS if any of them want that team because GB ROCKS is MIA for sure.

I guess Pacers are the best team available - they did even do better than Nets even though Nets had a GM (debateable). Cat do you have Nets GM e-mail or something so you can ask him if he wants to be active/still be in the league?

Or the best thing to do was perhaps strip teams that do not submit players to the draft of their GM - then have an offseason where trades and new GMs can join. (A week or so) and then do the draft.

But best team not currently taken is Pacers so I'll adjust the draftorder with CriscoKidd as the new Pacer GM.

If I were a new GM and I could take the Nets, I'd take the nets eventhough their record isn't that good.

At least they have trade bait unlike the other ravaged teams.

    Crisco,

You can go ahead and take the Nets, who already have a solid team. GB has been gone for a long while, and we don't need to have good yet unactive teams. If GB replies in the next 24 hours, I'll give you the Pacers, but I don't think that will happen. Your starters are:

    Mihm
    K. Martin
    Van Horn
    Sprewell
    Marbury

    T. Hardaway, Gill among many on the bench... will get you your full roster later.

One final note-- I know the Bucks have not been active for a while, but I do remember Ren saying his dad wanted him off the computer for a while, etc., but that he did hope to come back later. Since the team he drafted did make it to the Finals (and can still win), I will give him some more time (couple of weeks maybe) to see if he can get back into the league.

I also think Ren will be back - hell he can win the whole thing so he better be [IMG]

I guess Nets is gone - we have been talking about that team not beeing active for ages without any response from Nets GM, so I'll change the draftorder to reflect on Crisco as new GM for the Nets. Of course if Crisco would like to still be Pacers or GB states that we cant take his team away this can still change. Crisco just confirm that you want the Nets or Pacers.

I'll take Nets, but don't give me Penny then, I don't think that would be fair. Do I have to decide on players to put up for draft? If so then I need stats.

Also, in draft are there new rookies or just players that are dropped from other teams?

You want get Penny as you do not take a new team but another human controlled team. You will have to submit 2 starters to the draft (I think every human controlled team new or old will have to)

The regular draft consist of players that are dropped as starters from other teams + all players on computer teams. You will get the new rookies from the next real NBA season to draft in the rookie draft being held later.

I could try to search for Nets stats for you but I'm guessing they dont exist as GB has not been active and asked Cat for stats - But Cat has the stats and will give them to you along with info with players that you can submit for the 2 player draft. (You can have more than 5 starters on your team if the roster have been swapped around during the season)

Wouldn't it be more efficient to have a single stat thread instead of various stats littered throught threads in the forum?

I know I have several players I want to request stats for as I attempt to rebuild a moribund franchise(Paul Pierce for Antonio Harvey - thats what you get when you let Rick Pitino run things) and I imagine that several other people will have stat requests, and, I think at least, that it would be easier for all parties involved if we could put them all in one thread.

Yeah it would and if you go to the team page and click the link where I got the stats fom the 4 last guys on my team you will find our original stats request and answer thread.

What we are doing now is trying to get every stats for every team into the team thread - and that would even be better. You get your new stats and you just update them to the team thread, and voila all stats and rosters in one place without having to go through several pages.

The stat request w/stats thread was also a fine idea but that would have been filled up with request after for stats and newer stats so that could be pretty hard to find when you have 12 pages with stats and request and you have your numbers several times after each update. I think if we can get players to update their roster and stats in the new thread we will have the perfect solution.

I mean in addition to the team roster/stat thread.

We could have a thread dedicated to stats and that way you could avoid clutter in the other thread, which ideally would have only a post for every GM in the league. Especially for some of the undrafted players from the unowned teams, those stats wouldn't get posted in the other thread.

I will make one thread for it in the offseason, and then you can go back and edit your rosters in the team thread we started earlier today with your stats. However, during the season, the way we did it last year and probably the best way is to notify me of stat requests the day before in the standings thread I make with records and then I update them in either that thread or the standings thread the next day. I will make the stats thread tomorrow, when I am at home and am able to access stats. Anyone besides Crisco, Pueldfor, Johny need stats? Most GMs from last year know theirs, but the new ones I know need help.

    Crisco,

Yeah you still have to submit two starters for the draft. I will let you count Tim Hardaway as a starter also, even though he was your 6th man, because when Martin went down for a stretch of the season he started at PG, Marbury at SG, Spree at SF, and Van Horn at PF.

You are probably right in that not all would update the stats themselfs so perhaps it would be ok to have other update a simular thread. [IMG] You can also see that I'm kinda bored having searched the threads for stats an really done the info on my team to the max.

Yeah I made that post before I noticed all of those links you threw up in your post in that stat thread.

Maybe after the draft, we can entertain doing a thread like that. We'll see how many teams actually take the time to throw up their stats in that stat thread.

Curious about who the Rockets are going to get this summer?

If so, don't rely on what other people tell you, ask the magic 8-ball!

I'll take the Magic, Heat, or Cavaliers. If Penny is still available I'll take him too. Let me know what the next step is....
