Joey Dorsey doesn't have anywhere near the athletic ability of Sean Williams.

Sean Williams has way more upside.

what upside? He may have the tools but he doesn't have the brains. If tons of coaches have tried and failed what makes you think we can "tap into his potential".

It's like those who tried to say Gerald Green has upside and where is he playing now? China I think.

Sometimes a change of scenery can be everything...We could pick him up like a rookie and just develop him for a while...

Being around Shane and company could help.

How will he develop when he won't get any PT? Coming into a playoff team like us is hard to do for a development project, since we're trying to win RA won't give him any PT unless he can beat out Chuck Hayes or DA for mins. Dorsey is much better than him right now, and even he isn't getting any minutes.

Isn't the team that's trying to dump him 3-33?

If he can't even be in the rotation for the worst team in the NBA, there is no way he can make this team.

He's only 6'10. We can find someone else that is better.

If they dont want him in the Nets locker room, I probably wouldn't want him in the Rockets locker room either.

I seriously dought that the Rockets will try to make any moves that will take up that last roster spot until after the trade deadline.

I am much more interested in Josh Boone, the Nets want to move him and he is really only under contract for this season so something as simple as Cook for Boone gives you another big athletic body off the bench.

    From Adrian Woj, twitter...

WojYahooNBA Nets trying to unload Josh Boone to save some money, but nothing yet. NJ wanted Joey Graham's non-guaranteed deal in Denver, but no shot.

He's been a huge disappointment for NJ. Why would you pick up a guy that couldn't get any playing time on a team like the Nets. Just another NBA guy whose only ability is he is tall and can jump.

The Nets in general have been a disappointment and we need a shotblocker. Our center is 6'6". 10 day contract wouldn't hurt unless a Tmac trade is happening as we speak.

There aren't many of those... Especially ones that are 23...
I'll say it again, Sean Williams is a VERY intelligent individual...

i seriously doubt that. look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSLdJeTDuBg

sean williams has a huge size advantage and he might have a little bit more to offer offensively (still not even average...) but dorsey has the strength to play center, seems to be a great rebounder and is a better defender. plus, he's already under contract. sean williams makes absolutely no sense in this situation. especially when dorsey already can't get any minutes for the rockets and the worst team in the nba can't get rid of williams soon enough.

That Video was from College, In college you can get away with a 6'8 center, but not in the NBA(unless your chuck hayes), I just think the size advantage that williams has over dorsey(not to mention his also much Younger) Is to great for us, at the very least give the guy a 10 day contract.....Plus his from TX

    Williams (23 yrs old)
    6'10 Height
    7'6 wingspan
    9'3 stand in reach
    Dorsey (26 yrs old)
    6'7 Height
    7'1 wingspan
    8'11 stand in reach

Great idea. Rockets need to buy out at least 2 of the PFs in rotation, so they can develop him. My picks would be Hayes and Scola, since they have no upside left. Next year, Williams can start and Landry can come off the bench with Yao at C.
