He was in their "system" last season playing for their D-League affiliate. According to Stein they knew about his euro contract and the details of it before he headed there.
Wasn't he the one that wore his headband like a r****d yeah no thnx, hasn't heard from him since the rookie game in 2009
He played in China and was not impressive. Not surprised at all he didn't earn one 10-day call-up at the D-league last year (whereas Mike Harris who was playing in China did.)
Williams flew to the Far East and signed with China’s Fujian SBS XunXin. In his first game he scored 21 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and blocked four shots... <~~~Thats pretty impressive I think, but maybe thats just me.. *shrugs* http://www.nba.com/dleague/texas/sean_williams_named__alldef_2011_04_17.html <~~here you go. Oh and his reasons for not going to the Legends had nothing to do with not EARNING a 10-day call up.
He is tall enough to rebound in China. I hope he would do well there. It didn't translate in the NBA, when he has to compete for rebounds with taller PFs and Centers. He averages 2 rebs a game in his last NBA season, because he kept losing the rebound to taller players. That's not even serviceable for a bench role. 6'8" Joey Dorsey was a better rebounder than him.
I absolutely cannot believe you actually said he was tall enough to rebound in China as if they played no tall opponents..I.. I..don't know how to respond to such an asinine statement. With this realization in mind..I'm never commenting on this board again. I now leave you to your absurdities...
Joey Dorsey is a monster of a rebounder. He sucks at everything else, but he could totally tear up the boards in the NBA. His PER36 is at 13.3, which is ridiculous...
