It's not that bad. It is like Northwest Houston with an airport in the middle. The most ghetto areas are Sunnyside and areas around there. Drive down one street and it will be a shotgun home, church, duplex two story home, then decent sized mcmansion, then repeat. One of the weirdest setups in Houston.
You think I care what trash you talk about my side of town? I'm happy you don't like it. It keeps the yuppies out and keeps the hard working Latinos and Vietnamese in. It's worlds better than SW, GP in terms of crime. We have some of the best food in the CITY. I'm fat because of it. You were probably raised in jersey village or some other sheltered Suburb. You're insicure ego is a testament to that. You couldn't last 2 hours in my hood son. It's like having your fav neighborhood bar being talked bad about. It's BETTER for me.
You embody the exact trash mindset I am referring to. "you couldn't last 2 hours in my hood son" what does that even mean? The sad thing is if you have kids your genes and unintelligent way of thinking and being will be passed along to them. I hope they are smart and think outside of the box and realize that there is more to being proud of some neighborhood. You are proud to be fat which is horrible for your health and will haunt you one day when you are spending your retirement on medications.
I grew up off of Broad street (a street that connects from 45S and 610) close to Gulfgate mall. Lived there up until high school. I remember my neighborhood being a little sketchy, but nothing as crazy as what OP is insinuating. You had your bad apples like most neighborhoods.
The funny thing about these threads is that people don't realize that it doesn't matter where you live! It WILL be paradise to some and a hell hole to others! DON'T HATE! PROCREATE!!.. ....... ....... .......
Calling people and their neighborhoods trash... You're a class act, OP. Reality is harsh, I hope and pray that you're able to remain insulated from it.
Until you get to Kingwood? Kingwood is HARD CORE. Why just this morning, I saw a middle-aged man in a Mercedes running a yellow light near Town Center.
I remember all of those places. We had a lot of fun down Telephone Road. Some of it was even legal. I grew up near Sunnyside which was considered the wrong side of the tracks back then. Friends from school were afraid to come over or take me home after dark. Growing up there, I fear no neighborhood.
