Taking my first trip with them next month. Everyone that I've talked to likes them. The booking was easy. You get to pick your seats at booking. 1 free check-in and carry-on. But why I am taking them this time is the times are perfect.
I fly out of Atlanta using them all the time - the main hub. I've had 2 occasions where my puddle jumper flight had an issue. Both times they created an acceptable solution. But every other time they've come through as expected. They are my main airline. To me they are like SW but I get to pick my seat. While I've never flown United, my parents have and they lost both their luggage on a Europe vacation. Both. How do you lose both? They had squat for the whole trip. My dad's arrived when he got home. My mom's arrived a month later...soaked...WTH. I've put my wife on a couple of AA flights and both have been bad. She won't fly with them again. Spirit seems cheap but by the time you add up all the fees they aren't. And they usually have horrible flight times. If you don't care about times, walk on with just the clothes on your back, don't care where you sit, don't talk to the help and don't want a cheap snack then it might work.
different strokes for different folks... pointing to one route where american is cheaper for a few months in the year doesn't do much for me. watch this: united is cheaper when using points to fly from US to Japan, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, etc.... than american. not to mention that united is cheaper when using points to fly less than 700 miles away within the US.
I love all the humblebrag going on in this thread. Somebody wants to brag that they took some exotic trip on a particular airline, had some bad experience on the flight, and then claim that the whole airline sucks.
I personally had a good experience with United Airlines. I threw up and they gave me a white paper bag. Very good quality, my stomach acid didn't burn through ti at all.
Isnt that pretty much the same as you having a problem with black people because you have had a girlfriend cheat on you with a black guy??
Good, now maybe there wont be 50+ people on the first class upgrade list. Geez it's like they just gave away those seats away domestically

JetBlue is great. Snacks, 1st bag check-in, in-flight tv are all standard and free. Leg space for economy is a little less than business class on a dinky discount plane. Their Even More Space seats probably have enough leg room for a 6" person to feel comfortable. I have status on there, which is still evolving since they rolled it out a few months ago. With status you get 6 flights of free seat upgrades and a 2nd free bag check-in. The only con is flight availability and nothing near the reach of a Star Alliance Partnership. If they **** up, they really **** up, but unlike other airlines where they make you eat their mistakes, they actually reimburse you with some credits. Only Alaska Airlines has a more generous reimbursement policy when they **** up bad. Southwest is also reliable since they actually get it and know a bad CS experience can ruin everything. I'm not a fan of SWA though, but others who have flown more are. If you can book a flight to JetBlue, do it. I'm surprised they're considered a discount carrier, since they rarely nickel and dime you like the others. Virgin America is also decent since its fleet is also new but its flight availability is smaller than Jetblue. United is okay, imo when the bar for major carriers are low enough, but their CS can eat dick for all I care.
I bet it was packed. The last time I flew United, they were 30 minutes early coming home from SF. I posted a video on youtube, not about the flight, but just a landing video. I've only flown with Continental/United mostly to SF and I've never had problems. By the way, most of your good looking flight attendants are going to be international flights.
Thanks. You just sold me on JetBlue. Going to fly with them next month. I also saw that they're rolling out WiFi on their fleet starting Summer 2013. Hopefully my flight has it.
My experience with United has mostly been bad. I have done a few first class flights with them, which were alright, but US domestic in eco, they are pretty much horrible. Plus, the flight attendants are unattractive, about 70-80 years old and have a downright hostile attitude towards the passengers. I know I am generalizing, but this has been pretty much consistently the experience. Oh, and American US domestic "First" is a complete joke, too.
I guess you're trying to be funny? trashy No woman would ever cheat on me -- why would she forego the sexual delight that bigtexxx delivers?
I'm not even kidding. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...attendant-flying-friendly-skies-63-YEARS.html
Are you sure about United being cheaper than American for award travel to Japan? A few years back, I flew from Chicago to Tokyo on American for 50,000 miles roundtrip. I'm pretty sure United costs more than that.
I got a good laugh out of seeing simple Houstonians (those who posted in this thread) brag about their wealth relative to those scraping by. They're still beggars compared to my friends in Tribeca, who aren't much compared to the jet set crews of marbella that I may or may not roll with. Wealth is always relative, but it allows us to see what a person is really about very quickly. My friends had a hearty laugh when I mentioned someone calling themselves a Houston socialite, because it just doesn't register with legit wealth and prestige - what number droppers are trying to achieve. I don't mind mingling with the common man because they're grounded and keep me true to the streets, but its also a reminder of the insecurities and petty games they play with the less fortunate and the lifestyle they crave .. but don't have the ability or connections to realistically achieve. Everyone needs to take pride in something, no matter how little it is, to wake up in the morning and keep going. So for you humbletons upset by their behavior, remember - they'll always be chasing, and ill always be pulling the strings. There's always a bigger shark out there and when your worth is validated by quantifying life, you will always live in fear. I've been around these fringe millionaires from the dawn of time and when you see how their women view them, you'll only pity them. Heh heh heh. A shark amongst guppies has spoken.
