not trade a single player for yao?? If a Yao-Duncan trade was in the works, would we have any takers??

Lebron for Yao? No....wait...HELL NO!!!! A great center is harder to find than minutes for boki. they'll be a lebron every year. There always is. He's just comin straight out of high school and is a lil flashier than the others but still basically the came product. Yao is a special, its hard to find another Yao......lebron is special too, but they'll be another one next year.......

Who was the LeBron of last year? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Also, rebounding and blocked shots are just as important as scoring for a "great center." Yao is above average in both but not great in either. He doesn't have a great back to the basket game right now either - certainly good but not great.

There are risks with both players. LeBron could be a bust - an average NBA player. All the hype could be totally wrong. And this could be as good as Yao gets - for all the predictions on how he develops into a monster center, he could turn out to be just about what he is today.

That's why it's fun to guess and give your opinion.

I know it makes people angry on the board when you raise the possibility that Yao may only be what he is today, but it is a definate possibility that has to be considered when thinking of any trade.

I think if both completely maximized their talent, LeBron would be the better player so that's why I said I would trade Yao for him.
