I explained this to Hayesfan above, or just go to the link. They have him in their database, even though its not up to date.

The site is run by Jonathan Givony. Givony as recently as 4 years ago was a college student somewhere in FL. (UF in Gainesville IIRC). During that time, he worked for another draft website and was dismissed for leaking unfactual information.

Again IIRC, Givony sued that old employer and then created DraftExpress. Over time, Givony has lured some of the "scouts" away from that other site. Some "scouts" are truly high-level and some are just wannabe's.

Overall, it's a well run site. Especially with the coverage of the Portage Invitationals and the Draft Camp (old CHI now in FL). The downside for me as that too many people take the site as gospel when it definitely has it's share of opinion.

No mention at all of McGrady playing much of his time at the 2 spot? I'm surprised. Certainly, Tracy plays a lot of 3 and has the ideal size and tools for the spot, but still plays shooting guard a lot. Interesting read, regardless of the flaws.

IMO, pretty accurate scouting reports on the players covered. Most members of the this board could learn something by reading these particularly the Rafer and Luther haters who say they can't defend. Glad he tempered his opinion about Stevie also, lets see what happens next year with him, he has had injury problems the last two years.

I disagree that Yao is a great or decent passer, he was better his first two years when he took more chances with making the flashy pass. He is very conservative now and waits a split second too long when a cutter has an opening.

What they say about Rafer is right IMHO. Especially about the part about shooting too many outside jumpers. Besides that, its evident that he has all the tools to be a good starting point guard. HOWEVER, I still think that his decision making is not always the best and he is still too streaky to take us over the hump as our starting PG.

it's hard to take someone seriously when they make that huge of a mistake by calling dirk the most successful international player in nba history.

You know I disagreed with article in that aspect, I thought Chuck always covered bigger, more traditional Pfs pretty well, it was the smaller, more athletic powers that he struggles with.

I think Chuck did very well against the likes of Bosh, Boozer, and Duncan.

Who else is it? I'm pretty sure the category expressly disclaimed guys who were foreign-born but American-trained like Hakeem, Duncan etc.

edit: sorry I believe they did this in a different draftexpress article.

Seems like very good analysis from an outsider. They usually spout the same stuff over and over.

Yeah, you're referring to the article on the keys to draft night success.

Anyone know how Steve is doing? I didn't keep up with him for the rest of the season once I figured out he wasn't coming back. Is he expected to even play at all this coming up year?

Chuck did well against Bosh and Boozer, he had some problems with Duncan shooting over him, but he was able to keep him out of the paint most of the time.

A bit generous......"when ..... is making their shots." Most players are good shooters when they are making their shots  ; the key is the rate at which they make their shots. NBA players who shoot below 40% are not good shooters.

tmac could stand to be more selective with his shots. But for some reason I don't think the defender really affects his shot and that he has as good a chance of making it no matter how he's covered.

I've seen him have terrible misses when he's wide open.

    Here's the story:

    http://www.citmedialaw.org/threats/bell-v-shah

Givony didn't leak unfactual information. He stated his opinion that Kelena Azubuike's agent was a scumbag and that he heard the guy was sketchy.

I agree. He's just that talented that any shot he creates is a good shot for himself. And he has shown the ability to make more than his share of shots which might have driven lesser players out the league had they attempted as many as he did.

But what he needs to learn is also the fact that his body is aging and that lost of athleticism is going to affect his game and the types of shot opportunities he can create.

This means he really needs to cut down on his wild fadeaways and off-balance pull-ups and work on getting his wide-open shots to fall and converting better at the rim, as well as his free throws.
