What are you smoking? I'd like some of it. Or are you drinking too much Amare cool-aid? (In which case I want no part of it.)

Inside the NBA is OK, but Barkley is terrible...he couldn't put a coherent sentence together if it were written in magic marker on his hand...

ok. the nba on nbc was the BEST. nba on abc is boring, very boring except for the ingame commentators especially walton, but besides that the sudio guys are the most broing, TNT is most def the best. man yall remmeber the triple headers they had sometime on nba on nbc.....those were the good days

I think for the most part he brought some sort of 'balanced' commentary/analysis to the table when compared to that loud-mouth, preaching head called Mark Jackson, whom I can't stand.

But yah, short of having Greg Anthony and Tim Legler on NBA Shootaround, ESPN/ABC's programming is horrible when compared to either TNT today or NBC back in the day.

The NBA made a BIG mistake when they abandoned NBC, I thought NBC had the best personnel at the time.

I just hope whoever it was who hired Jalen Rose to do sideline commentary and postgame interviews(TNT?) fires him. He makes Tim Hardaway sound coherent. I think Barkley even referred to him as a robot or android during their postgame show.

As for Bill Walton, he's an acquired taste, but I love the guy. He has an undying passion for the game, and if you get past the hyperbole, he actually says a lot of things I agree with. Plus he sticks up for Yao Ming, so he earns extra points for that.

Walton is awesome. His sense of humor is what makes him great. Let's face it, you need a really good sense of humor to broadcast Clippers games for as long as he has...

Well, he's not there to make eloquent, coherent sentences. He's there to say stupid, funny stuff - which he does very well.

As far as analysts go, I like Steve Kerr and Reggie Miller. They are articulate and somewhat inciteful. And they never overstate or over exagerrate their points just to be noticed.

It's funny when Bill Walton commentates the Lakers and his son is playing, he won't ever say a single positive thing about his son. The other commentators have to say it for him and they always give him **** because he never says anything good about Luke.
