Great point. Repped. Bottom line, this team needs to concern themselves less about the postseason and more with their division. Get a winning record in the AFC South, things will take care of themselves.
I'm personally hoping they come out trying to injure some Jets players so they won't have to face them next week. At least it would make this game kind of interesting.
Well s***. The Texans still can't blame anyone but themselves. Today shouldn't have mattered, but the lack of finishing for a good part of the season is the reason why they're on the outside looking in. I'm happy to finally have a winning season, but there is still a bitter taste in my mouth because of the "what could have been".
Turning off this game for good. It's over, Jets are just going to run the ball in the 2nd half. If I were Cincy I would not show them any real plays because I will be seeing them next week anyway. Chris/Kris Brown ruined this season.
I find it ironic that we totally trash the Bengals for strategically throwing away a game on the grounds that it is virtuous and honorable to play hard every single game... While at the same time we trash the '06 Rockets for NOT strategically throwing away a game on the grounds that it was stupid for JVG to uphold the virtue of playing hard every single game. All right BBS. You guys rock.
All hope is not lost YET, lets not forget Sanchez has twice thrown 5 ints in a game this season. I'm hoping he can live up to his reputation in this next half of football!
The fact that the Bengals are making him look like Namath, coupled with the fact that the Jets are up by 27, I don't think Sanchez will factor into this game, which is exactly the opposite of what Cincinnati wanted.
Well, look on the bright side, we finally have a winning record 9-7 for first time in franchise history and we should proud of them even if we don't make the playoff. I really wanted to watch Texans in playoff but seem that can't happen so I guess Football season over for me and I like to represent my own city in playoff.
I honestly never thought the Bengals were all that good... forget about the fact that the Texans mandhandled them, their first five games were essentially a TOSSUP that they happened to luck out and win 4 of them (and the one they lost was actually the one they probably deserved to win... the denver stokely game). The only game where they looked "impressive" (ie - dominant) in was a 45-10 beatdown of a Bears team in dissarray. Other than that, they benefit from simply eeking by their division foes, who clearly didn't bring it the games they faced them. Who here would honestly take this Bengals team over either the Steelers and the Ravens? Just as I thought...
Just got back home to see the Bungals opened up a big can of quit, not surprising. Jets got lucky they are going to play their last 6 qtrs vs teams who didn't give a dam but they also earned it with big wins through out the year.
I actually saw some good showing from the Bengals in their games against divisional rivals and those rivals weren't punks either. Sadly, against any other good team with a defense, they lay down, especially when Benson isn't playing.
I don't know if I can be proud of this team. Am I proud that we won our last few games and had a winning season? Yes. Am I proud of their effort today? Very much so. I just can't be proud of a team I feel should have won 10 or 11 games, and made the playoffs, possibly winning a game or two there after, settling for 9 and 7, with no playoffs. It seems like people on this team are proud of themselves, because they won more games than they lost. I'm not totally proud of them, though, because I feel they could have done better. Maybe that's what is wrong with this team...
