Fining teams wouldn't necessarily make teams stop resting their players. NBA teams do rest players at the end of the season.
I'm half expecting the Bengals to come out firing, scoring points like crazy in the second half, yelling, "APRIL FOOLS!"
We should all stop watching unless you just enjoy watching a beating. Stick a fork in the Bengals - and us. Time to fire up the draft and offseason talk.
Interesting I don't see anything they could do but we will see. I doubt they will do anything though.
I was actually going to be post a question in this thread about which order we should be drafting: OL, DL, Secondary, RB. Secondary, DL, RB, OL. IMO.
That's ridiculous...team's discretion...they can play whoever, whenever, for WHATEVER reason they want...for any league to get involved with that would just be ridiculous... It's bad enough the NFL already doesn't allow roughing the QB because they want their stars healthy...and you can't play much D because they want more completed passes...that's enough already...telling teams who they can and can't play is ludicrous...
This night just gets better and better...this is horrible momentum going into the playoffs for the Bengs...they will regret sucking it up THIS bad...
I hope the Bengals get Blown out at home against this sorry team. Let's see how resting your starters helps you.
Well, I'd rather the Jets win in a blowout, than me watching the whole game and them winning a close one.
Game over. Cincy was lame to not even try, but texans fans shouldn't blame other teams for not making the playoffs. New England playing their starters was probably a mistake, Wes Welker tore his ACL and MCL....that's a huge loss in the playoffs
It's not so much the resting issue, but the lack of effort that gets me. Five Bengals, in maybe 15 total plays, have dropped balls that hit them directly in the hands. On the Brad Smith option touchdown, he ran directly into two defenders, who didn't even try to tackle him. This is more than "resting". This is a team that is absolutely, positively trying to lose. The NFL should issue discipline in these situations.
