But they did get to be in the Luxury box, and also were "honored". They did get tickets to last nights Yankee game too.... But I agree, That is no WS ticket...
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/Puedlfor/Peacock01.jpg"> That's for Sammy. It's a Peacock goat.
You know, maybe it's not the goat - maybe it's because the Cubs are a bunch of whiny, unlikeable bat-corkers and hand-pissers with a head-hunter and a whiny b**** at the top of their rotation. Man, all they need is Derek Bell and Marge Schott and they'd be set.
You'll need to start pulling some quotes from the Cubs forum...whereever it is...and posting them here. There's nothing like enjoying the whiney Cub fans b****ing about how Hampton homered off of Wood.
cubsclapp: Stoney summarized everything perfectly. I can't find one thing that I appreciate about this team. Last year, I think that most Cubs fans had a more disappointed or sad feeling. Now, there is no reason to be anything but pissed off at these players. I say "players" because they are anything but a "team". I have never seen so much selfish baseball, such little execution, and such whining on any baseball team before. I really liked Dusty coming into this year, but he has to take as much blame as anybody. However you put it, this season was a complete embarrassment and there need to be some significant moves made in the offseason. To the 2004 Chicago Cubs: Eat ****e.
From the Tribune -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Hitting home runs is all well and good but youhave to do other FUNDAMENTAL things also. The Cubs failed very often on this. Submitted by: Al 4:10 PM CDT, Oct 1, 2004 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Ryan: I agree. The Bob Dernier and Joe Carter years were some of the worst years of Cubs broadcasts. And I'm not talking about the team the Cubs fielded. We are that small flicker left on a candle. We need the Braves to score five more and beat us 10-1. In other words blow out. We let the pitcher homer. I know, I know. Mike Hampton can hit. Right. Then why did Wood go yard. He's a choker. Submitted by: Jeff Mullins 4:09 PM CDT, Oct 1, 2004 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Fatigue? didn't the Cubs have 2-3 extra days off due to the hurricane Submitted by: Dave Kingman 4:09 PM CDT, Oct 1, 2004 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. hope dusty and his boys get some mirrors in the lockerroom so they can see who is truly to blame for this farce. i'm betting they are vampires and wouldn't see anything Submitted by: marshall 4:09 PM CDT, Oct 1, 2004 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. Ryan, there once was a clutch player called JORDAN...but as for baseball I agree NO SUCH THING AS A CLUTCH PLAYER! Mark Grace has been accused of being "too Negative" in his color comm here in AZ simply because like Stoney he tells the truth. Ever since '98 all Sammy has cared about is home runs, to the detriment of what was becoming a good all-around game before then. Keep swinging for those fences, Sammy, forget the team. All the great whiffs of the Cubs' bats have contributed to a perceptible decline in global warming. Good thing the season ends this weekend or we would be headed to another ice age. Hawkins sucks.Dusty Baker does not know how to manage his players. Todd Walker should be playing everyday. D Lee should never bat second. Paul Bako should never play. Why is nobody blaming the Sarge for the Cubs lack of hitting. Submitted by: B Staff 4:08 PM CDT, Oct 1, 2004
