I'm starting to enjoy watching woke content fail miserably, its honestly a better time seeing their low box office numbers and the awful reviews than the shows and movies themselves.

The point is to make good entertainment
Not to use entertainment to justify political narcissism
Who really wants to watch a race swapped Scooby show without Scooby

At some point entertainment was, well... Made to entertain people after a long day's work. Or a weekend with your girl or friends. Now its just a platform for political agendas and movements. Every character is a mascot for the woke and they just don't get it..

Gay Superman did not bring people over to their woke movement
    Bat Women didn't either
    Not She Hulk
    Or black elves
    Not gay spiderman
Not an all women Ghostbusters squad
Or a movie about Gay Bro's

Brown gay Velma won't either, neither will black Ariel... The moment they destroy a character and write their own woke version people lose interest. Its like they are totally blind towards the fact that before someone watched a single second of their content they already alienated that content's fan base. The ones who actually remember Velma, Scooby from Scooby Doo, Peter Parker, Superman and The Lord of The Rings..

    Sometimes yes. Not always.

How about instead of exploding into a cloud of bile and angst like a seagull at the Alka Seltzer factory every time there's a race or gender swap in popular fiction we wait to see if the product is any good?

There isn't anything inherently "woke" about this. If I wanted to reboot scooby doo I'd try to make it more appealing to its target demographic which is a hell of a lot different than it was 50 years ago when it came out.

Getting reflexively partisan and bent out of shape about stuff like this is what two kinds of people do: gatekeeping dorks who care way too much about the purity of the source material and miserable old bastards who are afraid of change at any level.

I got the marvel unlimited app for a few months to see if I liked reading them before bed. They were ok but I’m back to just doing audiobooks.

I've never thought I'd like to read comics.... I did order the first three books of The Expanse thou, never finished the first one.. Made me sleepy as hell at night and thinking I'd read a chapter or two before bed turned into a page or two. Last sci-fi book I read was Jurassic Park....

Do you fake woke people actually like race swapping?

    you realize it’s not creativity
It doesn’t create a new character

would it be hard if you created an original Indian character or lesbian character?

are you afraid that it wouldn’t be funded unless it’s not an established IP?
