It's good to have realistic expectations of Scola in the early going, but I see much more. Scola is the truth. That guy can flat out play. he is tough, rebounds well, runs well, hits a mid range shot. With his international experience, he acts and plays like he belongs.

A key play that probably few noticed, but I know Rick Adelman will -- Scola gets the defensive board in heavy traffic. Rather than just tuck it and wait for the guard to come get it, he secures it with his head up, sees a breaking Mike James, outlets, and triggers a fast break for an easy basket.

Scola has instincts. Just wait till his teammates start to trust him to finish plays on the offensive end. There were several instances where he flashed open on the baseline and the man with the ball on the perimeter didn't see him. There were other times where he had the ball in the high post in triple threat position. As he gets more comfortable, he will be able to take it to the basket or just turn and face up.

As James is going to steadily eat into Alston's minutes, Scola will eat into Hayes' minutes. Our team will be better for it. Scola is starter material. Just give him time.

Hmmm please enlighten me about what you mean by this comment?
Do you mean we should not give too much credit to Scola because he was playing against a team with a style similar to European teams he is used to facing?

We have Chuck sharing the minutes with him, so I don't think that will be an issue. I would still like us to get a backup 4/5, because Deke's age is really starting to show.

I like Scola, and think he will turn into a great nba player. I think he is really good at play against european team. That is just a fact. I think that is his advantage. Nothing is wrong with that!

Scola is really active. He has no problem guardin' guys like Okur, Boozer. He's guick enough and has high Basketball IQ.

He's very strony, very tough to beat in the paint. He's also a good rebounder.

I'm glad with his game against Utah

Barkley said he likes him is because he doesn't want to kiss another donkey's ass. :D
