A PG who can handle the ball without turning the ball over will be good enough to us

one thin i've always wanted to see is adelman using scola the right way in the post. he's got the moves and he's proven on the international level, yet, in the nba he's not that often used as a real post up scorer. even when yao was out or injured.

i think it's clear that scola will be our main backup center. man, those line ups will rock offensively! i dream of barry, t-mac, artest, landry (or battier) and scola on the floor together.

Then we would be playing small ball and pretty much be dominated by Garnet again

That was FIBA basketball. The bigs on the USA team don't play to their full capabilities like they do in the NBA. Scola plays hard and with alot of heart. I love watching him play and expect him to have a better season than he did last year.

Scola and Yao will feed off each other, will make each other's life easier. Scola will make them pay big time if they dare to double Yao.

Just wish Scola could be more consistent with his jumpers.

I love scola on the offensive side but we are kind of weak collectively as a defense in the paint. Yao is an average defender at best and Scola is not athletic enough to keep up with the more elite 4's (if that is what he plays). The game that keeps coming to mind is our streak ending loss to Boston.

Garnett did not dominate at all. Leon Powe was the difference. Landry did not play that game as well.

Melo is a pu$$y, he wants to act like a thug on the court. As soon as he entered the NBA he got all them tatts trying to make an image of himself, but then he goes around and cheap shots somebody in the NY game. It looked like Melo pushed or punched Scola, when Scola went down, too bad they didn't show the replay.

I hope that in the future, the Rockets will alternate between Yao and Scola at the post. As I see it right now, if the Rockets don't put Scola on the post, they are wasting his ability. He has some sick foot work and can fake out his defender.

Last season, Scola was utilized more as a garbage man. A lot of his offense came from rebounds and hustle.

The Rockets look like a legit dream team - and hypothetically could challenge for the Olympic Gold.

    Yao
    Scola
    Battier
    Artest
    McGrady

Rockets will be challenging for the NBA rings no doubt about it.

Scola really impressed me so much this olympics. He was unleashed, last season with the Rockets it seemed he was a bit hesistant either because of the system or cold feet. But, I fully expect Scola to be like at lest a 14 pt. 9 reb. stat. year round.

Best Power Foward since Barkley and Otis Torpe.

It is just a bad image of the NBA. He isn't a punk, he's being a thug. He can't have his way with Scola, or get his fricken ego hurt because Scola is taking him to school on offense. So he resorts to trying to intimidate Scola.

But Scola isn't a push over. After Carmelo saw that he was not going to intimidate Scola, Carmelo acted all innocent with a huge smile. What a punk.

And Scola is not pushover, when Boozer was playing tough defense on him near the end, Scola threw him down like a bag of potatoes.

Man, that was fun to watch!!!

I would like to see the stats that back that up...
Yao might be weak at defending some dribble penetration, but we have arguably the best paint defense in the league...I imagine it will only get better with the addition of Artest

Get off of the average Luis Scola's nuts! If the Rockets go far it will because Yao and T-Mac are healthy and number 96 has a big year!
