I especially like his lingo. 'Risers', apparently, are going to give Scola lots of problems. Don't mess with this guru, Sir!

Before Ron was added to the squad I figured Luis was going to be good for 15/8-9 this season. I still see him putting up those numbers and actually doing it more efficiently now.

In the league, he doesn't matchup with ak-47 because he's a 3. During the season he plays against the garnett, amare, camby, bosh types. So yes AK is that kinda guy, but he's a perimeter shot blocker type from the weakside. I think its a good sign, but the olympic atheleticism and play is a lot different than the nba.

    Garnett and Camby guard Yao.
Amare doesn't play defense. Anyone can score on him.

    so, what's your point again?

I actually fully agree with lee here. I love Scola's hustle but the way he learned to finish on the blocks and in the paint overseas (with head fakes and underhanded scoops) is not nearly as effective in the NBA. He needs to learn to finish over guys and finish stronger more often. It's okay to use the fakes and scoop shots here and there to mix things up but the majority of his finishes in the NBA should be more aggressive and over the top. It seems like he is trying to avoid contact at times. I think, or I hope, he will figure that out next season.

If you're talking about Pau Gasol, he won't get a chance to unless both Argentina and Spain make it to the finals. Argentina would have to beat Greece and Team USA to get there.

Hey, no big deal. I just happened to check the brackets. I'd love to see Scola school Pau, too, especially during the NBA season. Pau is a pretty damn good player though. I'm not sure I would say Scola > Pau like somebody did earlier. Pau is a pretty average defender and rebounder but his scoring and passing skills are solid.

Doesn't surprise me, Scola's after Manu probably the best Argentina basketball player.

Ok, the Francis jabs are pretty funny, but if there's ANY chance at all that he's healthy, any at all.....remember the Phoenix game?

Yeah I know he sucked after this game, but that could've been due to the injury. We can dream, can't we?
