PARAPHRASED RECAP: How does intensity of NBA compare to international championship tourneys? In Europe you play more contact so sometimes in international games are a little bit more intense, it’s just because the ref lets you play a little bit more physical… You can’t be as intense. Is the NBA what you expected? Yes. Happy to be here, great league, best players in world. What was the change like? The mix of all things you have to face when you make that change… doing all the paperwork, social security, the little details. I’ve got a family to keep, etc. You’d think in a couple month, probably two or three months to really feel at home. When did you learn English? Liked the show Friends and watched them on DVD, bought a dictionary… a few years after he faced the decision of going to Europe, college, etc… basically I learned it by watching TV and talking to my teammates… my wife is learning English, we’re watching Lost. Did it take an adjustment to play a different role on this team than what you play on other teams? This is not the first time I do it. I know when you go to a new team and a new place, you take a step forward in your career, and you have to make an adjustment. First of all you have to realize what the team needs from you and why you are on the team…. Then you have to pull through little by little, and start playing with more confidence. Gasol and Odum… very skilled… talk about your match up and what you expect? It’s definitely a challenge. Pau is an all-star… it’s not only Pau… Bynum, Odom, etc… they have a pretty loaded team and a lot of talents. It’s going to be very heard. There's a reason they have the number one see in the west and they’ve done so many games. We think we’re going to be able to complete. We’re going to have a chance to win game. We’re going to have a change to win this series. On Ron Artest: When I finally knew he was going to be my teammate. Everybody told me all kinds of stories. He’s going to be like this, and then oh he’s nothing like that. The moment I heard those stories I said I’m not going to judge Ron at all, I’m going to make my own decision at the end of the year. My own perspective is no bad at all. He’s a great teammate, a great competitor, he’s not crazy at all and he’s not doing anything particularly weird at all. He’s just a great teammate…. I just give the chance to know him and judge him for what he’s been with me and he was nothing but great.
This "Rome Guy" You talk as if you have never heard him before, which means you must live in a different world or something. The biggest national sports radio show by FAR, he has been doing the same thing, pausing, repeating himself ALOT, tearin up paper, acting like he is a BadA for YEARS. But im glad you finally purchased your first radio and could hear him.

I'm paraphrasing just a little here: 1. " chinguetas, the refs are horrible in the NBA." 2. " My game with the ladies can be attributed to joey tribiani....how you doin'? " 3. " Artest is not crazy..jejeje. I may name my incoming child Ronaldo to go along with tiago. I love ron ron that much. " If you missed it, I uploaded the entire interview: Luisito *quality hasn't been the best since i upgraded to a Mac =(
Europe allows more contact than the NBA. Refs there let you get away with more. No more intense than NBA playoffs. That was kind of a given. They allow more contact in pee-wee leagues for 6 years old than do in the NBA.
When J. Foster left for Arizona, I was skeptical, but Clanton won me over when he was warned against talking crap about Matt Maloney, to which he replied, "What's he gonna do? Shoot a 3 at me?" Ever since, Clanton has been my favorite local on 610. I do miss pissing off the night shift with prank calls about the WNBA, though...
