You could compare Yao/Landry or Yao/Scola to Gasol/Odom and they still win the matchup. I love the Rockets but Gasol has always played circles around Yao in international play or NBA Odom just seals the deal for the Lakers.

If you add Gasol to the current Rockets team minus Yao and Mac they go to the WCF at least.

Sorry OP but Gasol is an all-star and Odom is pretty nice when he is motivated. However, Gasol by himself would make this team dangerous in the playoffs, add odom and we would become very versatile.

I agree with u ,before being a teammate of KOBE,gasol never prove him to be a reliable player, never ever!

any players along with the best player in the world-kobe,would greatly improve their performance ,because kebe would be doubled or tripled and there was too much room and open shooting for u.

I don't agree gasol is over yao ,he is more soft and sissy.

Though I'm on the side of Rockets. But to say the truth, Gasol and Odom is better than Landry and Scola anyway.

How so, when he has shown to disappear often in the playoffs, I would dare want Pau as the #1 on option on this team or any other one. He isn't a great go to guy, which he would be Houston.

He's abilities are magnfied with the Lakers and being with Phil Jax and Kobe Bryant. BUt, in a situation where he has to carry a team on his back and get tough points inside.

I'd hold out for a healthy Yao. He is a true player who changes the entire dynamic of an opponent's defense. Gasol is good, but I don't think he can do that.

I agree with what one of the posters had to say about the scoring averages of Scolandry vs. Gasoft/Odumb Kardashian. How is it Landry is able to put up better numbers on inferior team coming off the bench, like Odom, and not be surrounding by the same talent.

And as far Gasol's all spectacular and great ability goes, he is at best 19-20 and 8 to 9 rebound player, he has gotten alot of rebounds lately, but can he do that for entire season. Probably not.

this poll is exactly the reason why this board is just so frustratingly impossible to post on. homers/haters all over the place.

Landry is an assertive, relentles sscorer. Highly efficient from inside and short range. Not good on defense

Odom rebounds BETTER than Landry, and gets equal-to-more blocks. Odom can handle the ball and pass like a guard. His offense isnt as good as Landry's but too far back from the pack. Those are good overall skills even a knucklehead like him lends to decent results. Lakers have had Kwame Brown, Smush Parker. There's a reason Odom's stayed around from the Shaq trade.

And you know, I probably WOULD tell Odom that stuff to his face. Cuz stuff like that has shown to throw Odom off of his game and get to his head
