Luckily, Scola says he doesn't expect it and it won't hurt if he doesn't get it. I believe him. And it may actually be better in the long run if he doesn't.
he's already old??? He's still a rookie? Scola is older and he's a rookie. If you havent played in the NBA than you are rookie
It wasn't realistic to ever think Scola would win ROY. I'm just glad he's playing well. Of course I was thinking that before the game yesterday, and then he goes and gets 3 fouls in 1.5 minutes. That was truly awful.
Learn to understand posts. The guy was talking about who he likes more as a player. Yes both are rookies but Horford is 20 (??) to Thornton's 24. That would suggest Horford has more room to grow because he still is maturing while Thornton is like Landry or Scola.
Yeah I think Durant won it with last month's performance...he is going to be a stud...but damn, 2-17 tonight, one on a alley oops, NO FTs? WOW
"If [Scola] wins it, he should give an assist to Battier." -- Bill and Bull after Battier's shut down of Durant. Shame the award is already locked up.
I think Scola might get it before Thornton, but I'm with you. Good Call. This kid is going to be something special.
is this an attempt at humor? ouch. if Scola lost the ROY vs. Portland, Durant just handed it over last night vs. Houston.
The difference is one crapped out on national TV one didn't. That shouldn't matter but like I say in the OP it plays a big role late in the season in most awards. Most of the voters only watch the national games and judge heavily based on those games.
