“Mac said some things about how he might shut it down again for the year and I thought that maybe I should leave that surprise for the Knicks AFTER trade deadline,” Battier said, grinning. “You should have seen how much I had to edit when Brian Cook came with his goodbye memoirs outlining his exploits and thanking the city for all the help with his projects aimed at giving back to the Houston community.”
Coach Rick Adelman said he believes the reason for people using Battier’s supreme writing and editing skills is because he was one of the few on the team that actually focused on classes and basketball in college.
“Well, obviously he went to Duke, so he had to actually do some school work,” Adelman said. “Let’s give the guy some credit. He can write extremely well and doesn’t include phrases that make no since. Between the guys who grew up in Argentina, China, Australia, Africa, New York, this guy is one of the few people in the league who writes legibly. Though don’t discount Yao, he has been know to craft poems on a whim and they’re actually pretty good.”
Battier said from here the team should be done with writing now that he’s gotten finished teammate Luis Scola’s blog entries and Tracy McGrady’s blog. Now he’ll have more time to focus on shooting three pointers from the corner and taking charges.
“The only thing I regret is that I could not help McGrady more,” he said. “He sent me an e-mail yesterday and I sat out of the shoot around to go over some pointers on the proper use of the semi-colon with him via Skype. Unfortunately the conversation ended shortly when he said he was shutting it [his laptop] down.”

Search is turned off? Drat! While I don't doubt that Shane might have helped edit Scola's blog, I know I've read here that Luis writes them himself. There's a huge difference between writing and having someone else edit, and having someone write your own material.

Scola writes his blog entries in Spanish and gets them translated, according to David Nuno of No Layups.

I spoke with our GM, Daryl Morey, about several topics, but in particular about the item I spoke about in a recent blog I wrote about the argument we had in our locker room about whether a coach could be traded…. He said they can be traded! I was completely surprised by that. I thought it was something silly that someone said that was completely unfounded, but it turns out to be true. Not only is it possible, but he gave me examples of when it has happened. One example of this which was actually pretty important was when Miami traded Stan Van Gundy to Orlando for a couple of draft picks a few years ago.

Dude, athletes and celebrities alike are busy 24 hours a day. None of them have time to do blogs. Not Scola, Landry, T-Mac, Balloon Boy, nor Lindsey Lohan. Maybe Shane in between his time from going to rap concerts.

If Magic Johnson had time to get laid before the post game interview, I think players have time to write a blog or two with their spare time.

Also, I knew he was being bothered by the trade deadline and the possibility of being dealt, which was affecting his play, in my opinion. because Scola's blogs aren't 180 degrees different from what Tmac says in interviews.

in the blog he says nice things about Houston and his coaches, then at the first opportunity in real life interviews he says the exact opposite

no doubt scola writes in Spanish or dictates it and someone translates it for him, and it's not like he's sitting there inputing the words into his website but there is no reason to doubt the blog is his words translated and typed in for him by whoever maintains the site
