What if, what if....Enjoy what you got. The grass aint allways greener on the other side.Luis is on his last legs while we have a few studs who need to be developed like Jones and White and Luis around there would have been
no minutes to do just that.

    No Harden if Lowry stayed.

You wouldn't have Lin if Dragic had signed with the team.

Scola, would probably have fit well because he can score but it would make our current situation at PF/C worst because it is obvious that McHale or Morey really wanted him gone, hence the constant drafting at the same position. It is probably for the best that we may not have draft picks this upcoming offseason, so Morey can't get tempted to feed his addiction.

The rockets needed to get rid of those players, in order to sign Harden and the others.

so that is a dumb question, just like asking:
what if we signed Dwight Howard, imagine Harden with Howard.

Despite the reality not allowing us to have dragic scola and harden, i think both scola and dragic would have made the rockets a better team this year because of the experience. HOWEVER, i think dragic wouldn't be a fit to harden as lin because of his play style. scola, however, will benefit from Lin a lot more since he likes to run the floor.

Lowry is a very inefficient chucker. Let him build his brick igloo in Toronto.

Scola would be a great backup 4/5. He would be decent at the pick and roll.

We had to Amnesty Scola in order to sign Lin. We had to pass on Dragic in order to first sign Asik.

So you couldn't have those combinations represented. Effectively we could've kept Scola to pair with Asik, but we would've had Douglas running the point....

It's possible we could've kept Scola and ended up with Harden, but frankly nobody knew that months ago.

Scola was good but we will eventually add a power forward that will be a significant upgrade from Scola. Scola would have been better now in the short term, but we are better without him in the long term.

Someone should build a fantasy recently retro Rockets team around Harden to satisfy their jollies. Throw in Asik to weed out the tweener herd.

    Harden - Brooks
    Lowry - Dragic
    TMac - Novak
    Scola - Landry
    Hayes - Asik

Scola's game is flawed, he just can't box out and play defense despite his good stats against Golden State. GS had 17 offensive rebounds and they out-rebounded the Suns. Dragic is a better offensive player than Lin, but he is more of a SG first than a PG which why I take Lin, who will look for the best scoring opportunity for the team. Gogi's team had only 16 assists and Lin's team had 28 assists. Gogi will have higher scoring numbers, but it will cost his team wins. One of the best stats from Detroit game is Lin was +24 and Harden +18. Lin and Harden is just perfect, both knows their role.
