Mrs... I mean mr. Pau Gasol had a Luc Longley type performance, he actually managed to score 2 more points and grab 5 less rebounds with no assist.

I know it's too early to tell, but is Gasol really that much better than Scola. I know he is an all-star, but he is not like light years ahead of Luis.

At least, I don't think so.

The biggest difference between Scola and Pau:

    Scola is 6-9.

Pau is 7-1 with long arms.

That's a HUGE difference in the NBA game.

He didn't have a bad game, once Argentine full squad play nobody will score a lot of point.

he was in rebound and assists and made 4 of 5

BTW Argentina have a long time without defeating Spain, they got eliminated in the last world championship by Spain in non sense foul order by the coach and a miss clean 3 pointer by Nocioni. Today they lost by 2 like last championship.

I knew that you were hep to McCray being a SF. That's why I had the winkie! Rodney was a hell of a player. I thought he'd be a highly productive Rocket for years and he was, but he didn't take a lot of shot attempts. A pity, because he shot at a high percentage. Excellent defensive player, who reminds me of Battier in that respect, although IMO, McCray was the better man on defense. Definitely a better scorer.

Rodney was part of the deal to get OT, but had a solid career with the Rocks... twice on the All-Defensive team. I wish we had him now in his prime!

Yes, but he sucked at the line as usual, missing a key free throw that could have tied the game.

That wasn't my point at all. I feel Pau is an athletic, fluid scorer but he is a soft player.I'm not a fan of his and I don't think that he is light years ahead of Luis either.

Scola's a work horse. He'll grow by leaps in bounds. Expect for him to almost put up double/doubles. Something like 13-16 pts. 8-10 rebounds, or better.

One of my main questions when he arrived was could he hold his own against guys like Boozer? No more worries on that front, after a season and playoff series that he exceeded expectations. When he finally replace Chuck Hayes(which should have been done sooner), the season turned around to give the Rockets a chance.

Expect Scola to have a better season than lastyear! This guy was a steal! :D

He sucked at the line, but he was almost alone against 3 NBA talent players in Garbajosa, and both Gasoles, not to say the officials were pretty much one sided and he was in foul trouble all game.

I hope Argentina can beat Spain next Saturday, i don´t want to enter the Olympics by having a 2-18 record against one of our challengers.

you can watch the game in HD 480p here:

    http://www.misexta.tv/home

    My thoughts

    Marc Gasol is a stud

A lot of 3 taken almost no to much of inside game

Fist half all Spain, second half all Argentina

Ginobili is dam clutch, very exited second half.

Spain is deep and have a lot of future. watch out USA the twin towers are not easy.
