Also, don't forget that he should start getting calls from the officials this year as well!! I expect/hope that he will be more of a threat this year barring injuries...

If anybody wants pic/videos of Argentina vs. Uruguay, tell me. I went to the game.
Argentina finished 1st, Uruguay 2nd, Poland 3rd and Mexico 4th.

Yeah, he did it, and dunked a lot in the warm-up. Although, there was a play where he was alone, and tried doing a lay-up and he got blocked.

did I just read someone blaming jvg for yao's injuries?

yea, all that nonstop bball has NOTHING to do with it. it was that evil jvg that wanted yao to dunk that's caused the injuries. yea...

in other news, jvg's bald head is the reason for tmac's lazy eye...

He's going to be a 14 & 7 guy this year, at least. He has a complete game and no one here seems to recognize it takes a newbie to the NBA a while to get used to it.

I think the coaches and mgmt. can see it too.

:D that scola after dunk "move" (hanging and pulling self up on the rim) on the first page would get you a technical in the NBA.

    That sounds just about right.

If the Rockets' crop of young bigs (Landry and Dorsey) produces well, or if the team decides to play more small ball by having 3 out of McGrady, Battier, Barry and Greene on the floor together at the 2/3/4 spots, then Scola might see his numbers down from there. Still, I fully expect that level of on-court production from Luis next season.

I can agree with you usually, but as some here defend T-Mac lack of efficiency because he is double or triple teammed, i can tell you that Scola´s FG% was lower against Utah mainly because: 1) he was the only scoring option inside for the rockets. 2) The backcourt players couldn´t hit an open shot to save their lives so Scola usually went 1 on 2 on all of his post up plays or drives. and 3) The refs gave him and excessive rookie treatment letting defenses on him be more than aggressive.

Maybe i can remind you all the rant here for Luis constantly avoiding contact after going past Okur and then Boozer, i think most of the time he was single covered he scored.

He is going to be so much better this season.....as the year went on last year he started talking more and more to players on the court.

I think as his comfort level grows so will his leadership....he is a very smart BBall player.

I expect 15-8 from him this year.

i don't think it's out of the question at all. as the season progressed and yao went down, scola look more for his shots and called more for his own play. in the playoffs, had he made more of his layups, he would easily avg 17-18 ppg in that series as he went to the line quite often.

i think we just need to run more plays for him, so tracy and yao have to really give up touches. we need more of a balanced team.

"Scrubola"? Seriously? I mean really... I don't understand how people like you can call themselves fans...

Anyways, he put up 14 and 9 on 45% shooting. The shooting isn't great for a PF, but it's not half bad for a guy playing his first playoff series in his first year in the NBA. Scola was doing a LOT for us, and we definitely would have been worse off without him. He was aggressive on both ends, and put up some shots I want him to put up, even if he couldn't convert as many of them as I wanted.
