i'm with Baqui on this - working on my MBA myself. If you get a MBA, do both. They're my two majors - I think it's the most useful combination to know. Marketing teaches you a lot about how you should market yourself - and that's an invaluable lesson. Finance is more tangible and more challenging. Marketing is very important to know, but a few classes in the subject should set up a foundation that you can build upon. Finance, on the other hand, takes more than a few classes - modeling, risk assessment, valuation etc.
Could just be your cousin. No offense of course. I have friends that are very smart but can't really communicate with others effectively. I think interviewing skills are 50% of the equation.
