good gracious, i don't believe FBISD is on that list. i went to school in FBISD and we have a history of not closing school under pretty much any circumstances....save perhaps a nuclear attack OR THE LIKE. but yea i'm glad they've become less "uptight." granted, the missed days will have to be made up anyway...
Not as bad as Katy. I remember in 1994 during some big floods in October (I believe), one of the radio stations went to broadcast the schools that were closed for the day and instead of listing the school districts, they basically said, "if you don't go to school in Katy I.S.D., you don't have to go to school today".
