Way to use a crappy analogy. Reading the article indicates that they didn't just ban one kind of flag, they banned all of them. This is not like banning a T-shirt that represented a certain point of view, it's like banning all t-shirts. And apparently (sickeningly, IMO) flags from both sides were being used to intimidate. So they didn't just ban the Mexican one, they banned all of them. What they did not do is ban "just the American Flag" like you suggest. I am all for free speech, but I have much less problem with this than selective censorship based on content.
