    Watson reporting and playing is an awkward situation. It would be a disservice to Tyrod with him coming out of the blue and taking the starter spot.

    If I was Culley/Caserio, knowing that he doesn't want to be here, I would have him:

    1) Not suit up;
    2) Not show up in the locker room and;
    3) Make him stay home.

    I would rather have Tyrod at the QB spot do his best to win more than 1 game than have Deshaun on this team anymore.

    Just plan for the trade and get max value out of his ass.

    If Watson promises to stop sexually assaulting women, I'm sure the fanbase will forgive him if he plays well.

    Um....Tyrod is being paid. He always knew there is a chance that Watson would play. He got extra money for that. Texans are not here to do right by Tyrod, they are here to win games. I'm paying Watson $17 million (I think that's his salary this season) to sit home. If the league allows him to play, he is playing.

    Driskel is getting cut. Tyrod was going to be the backup to someone in the league anyway, he stays.

    I don't know that soap opera? I was thinking more Days of Our Lives or As the Stomach Turns.

    There’s a problem with your stance here.

    The likely hood of getting truly MAX value for a QB that already has legal issues and isn’t on the field to show his worth, will not net you max value.

    If we were to trade him I’d rather him continue to show off his talent so people remember how good he is and forget (to an extent) all the off field distractions and issues.

    Tyrod may be the starter but he’s had issues running a team under center both in Cleveland and San Diego/LA, while being benched by a rookie successor for both teams. Won’t be surprised when that’s the case here for Tyrod and Davis.

    Honestly I hope this signals to other teams in the league that a Deshaun trade is palatable. I just want CLOSE to max value for the guy.

    Multiple 1st rd picks + more. We weren’t going to be very good with Deshaun anyways. He doesn’t want to be here.

    Rebuild thru the draft and eventually a QB on a rookie deal. If they execute the trade correctly and Caserio builds the team properly the rebuild won’t take very long.

    Why do I get the feeling that the Texans are just going to end up cutting Watson…

    Agreed. Best case scenario is huge return for Watson and Mills turns into a top 10 QB.
    Get some high level defensive prospects next year and boom.
    Probably a pipe dream but that’s all we got right now.

    And incur $51,000,000 in dead money? That would be the dumbest move in sports history.
