yay lets bring up a clutch play matt did two years ago and lets forget about his consistent incompetence since then. da fuq is wrong with people these days smdh... next thing you're gonna tell us is that matt is not injury prone and he's actually clutch because he had that come from behind victory 1 year 5 months ago or some arbitrary number as if doing it once is enough in this league. GTFO with that stupid s**t.
the problem might be people writing 'da fuq' and 'smdh'.. But seriously, bag on him for a lot of other things...but the dude is not injury prone. If you have issues with bringing up old highlights...then how you can you call him injury prone? I guess every player with 1 injury in the last 4 years is injury prone. I'm not gonna bother searching out QB's who have had more than 1 injury in the last 4...let's just agree you're completely wrong, ok?
don't you love how they conveniently ignore every INT Manning throws and chokes in the playoffs? then they prop up, of all people, Joe Flacco. PEYTON IS ELITE! PEYTON IS ELITE! Never throws pick sixes! Answer to the Super Bowl! then bam....one and done. He's only done that 8 out of 12 times. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/1ytCEuuW2_A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
F@ck the arm strength argument, how about the way flacco stood tall like a man in the pocket and made huge downfield throws in th face of tons of pressure??? Standing in the pocket like a MAN and not checking down or throwing it away the second the pocket collapses. It's amazing that schaub, who is a huge dude, can play like such a coward... Flacco made plays time and time again under pressure and my whole table couldn't help but realize that in the same situations we had zero faith in schaub making those same plays. Just frustrating. Let's see if schaub can step up.
Err... the Ravens OL did a fantastic job yesterday. The pocket did not collapse. He had all day to throw. They were incredible.
Ya he absolutely did.. Unfortunately we havent seen any of that damn near since. Actually thought that would be the game where schaub finally turned it around but the last 5 weeks of turtle mode when we absolutely needed him to step up the most doesn't bode well.
I'm not saying Flacco didn't make throws Schaub wouldn't have attempted, but to act as if Flacco was under pressure is just plain wrong. The OL was incredible, especially considering the pass rush they were facing. Even Matt-foldslikeacardtable-Schaub wouldn't have had to eat it or throw it away all that much with that kind of protection.
F@ck standing in the pocket like a man, how about the pick six that was the difference in the game? You know, the one without which you're figuratively fellating Manning rather than Flacco this morning. Yes, if only Schaub could stand in the pocket and deliver. Oh, wait a minute... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/jXvCKwHLIew" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> So, your reaction to that play was "frustration". You're an imbecile. Why? You won't give him any credit if he does.
Hey colt, in case you haven't been paying attention, matt schaub has played like absolute dogsh!t the last 5 games. I know I know, to schaub apologists regular season games from 3 months ago is proof parcel that schaub is a great qb and that "how dare anyone criticize him!!!" blah blah blah STFU and PROVE IT. I'll gladly eat crow on schaub but you know what, unlike the Schauberattzi on here, Schaub actually has to do it WHEN IT F#CKING COUNTS. so take your regular season redskins videos and broncos videos and kindly shove them up your ass. :cheers
No I'm not refuting the line play was great, just that given the exact same scenario schaub is NOT making those throws... You know, drive sustaining, game winning throws.
i thought the convesration would revolve around san fransico benching alex smith and going with their younger more athletic stud
Man. What a ****ing stud. Where can we get these mobile quarterbacks?! Of course, we extended Schaub for better or for worse. I feel like he is a good quarterback, but there seems to be a lot of good looking quarterbacks coming out year after year. And we don't even need the number one pick or the number two. Russel Wilson would have been a lot better than Schaub. We could have had Kaepernick instead of Brandon Harris!
